Heading to one of the city's central hubs, where plenty of connections are available to all other parts of the city and the surrounding area, we then board the 2031 Brighton and Hove service 5A to Brighton (Old Steine), arriving there at 2050 on Monday evening.
We make the short three minute walk to the bus stop at the Sea Life Centre on Marine Parade where we board the 2102 Brighton and Hove Coaster service 12 to Meads (Winter Gardens on Compton Street) that arrives there at 2205 on Monday evening.
To get our next available service we need to walk to the bus stop at Roselands, adj Arlington Arms where we can take the 0420 Brighton & Hove Bus and Coach Company N12 Coastliner service as far as Hampden Park Railway Station (o/s) where we arrive at 0425 on Tuesday morning.
We then transfer onto the buses after a long ride on an Electrostar.
Our bus is the 0647 number 11 bus to Eldon Street Liverpool Street (V) , arriving there at 0723 Tuesday morning.
We note the minimum conection time between Victoria and Liverpool street has been observed before we run into the station and jump onto the 07:30 Abellio Greater Anglia service to Norwich arriving there at 09:27 Tuesday Morning
Unbeknownst to us, we have fallen asleep and ended up on the way back to London on the 1000 departure. However, we wake up at about 1101 this Tuesday morning and stumble blearily off our train at Colchester.
Looks like getting my warm bed in Colchester is a mere pipe dream now...
We walk through Westfield Stratford and board the 1234 Southeastern High Speed service to Ramsgate. However, we alight at Sittingbourne, the time now being 1321 this Tuesday afternoon.

We are soon on the move onboard the 14:59 South Eastern service to London St. Pancras arriving there at 16:21 Tuesday Afternoon
Exiting the station and heading to the Parkgate Waingate bus stop, we then board the 2116 First in Halifax, Calder Valley and Huddersfield service 310 to Huddersfield (Bus Station), arriving there at 2128 on Tuesday evening.
We next take the 10 minute (0.5 mile) walk to Halifax Railway station and take 23:10 Northern Service to Rochdale Railway station where we arrive at 23:50 on Tuesday evening.
We take a 7 minute walk to the bus stop on Drake Street/Milnow Road, and then board the 00:07 First Manchester service to Shudehill (Shudehill interchange) arriving there at 00:51 Wednesday Morning
We next decide to board Megabus from Shudehill, stand L at 02:15 and head for Glasgow, Buchanan Bus Station where we arrive at 0630 on Wednesday morning.
We decide to head eastwards from here and board the 0640 Stagecoach Fife service X26 to Auchertool (The Kiwi Tavern on Main Street) that arrives there at 0822 on Wednesday morning
Heading back to more urban areas, we then board the 0848 Stagecoach Fife service X26 to Cumbernauld (Town Centre Stances on Central Way), arriving there at 1002 on Wednesday morning.
We decide upon a short journey next and board the 1020 Canavan Travel service 43 to Kilsyth (Swimming Pool on Airdrie Road) that arrives there at 1036 on Wednesday morning.
It looks like the 43 run by Canavan Travel is our best bet - so we catch the 10:43 from said swimming pool in Kilsyth to Croy Railway Station, arriving there at 10:53 on this fine Wednesday morning.
Avoiding going any further northwards, we then board the 1302 Abellio ScotRail service 1B22 to Haymarket, arriving there at 1417 on Wednesday afternoon.
Exiting the station to the adjacent bus stops, we then board the 1554 Stagecoach East Scotland service X42 to Ninewells Hospital, arriving there at 1704 on Wednesday afternoon.
