Although passenger trains do not normally run north of Clitheroe the line to Hellifield remains open for freight and diversions.

That is just the same as the wording of staggered platforms in the previous posting.
Not quite the same, but I take your point.

Assuming play is continuing on from Chilham, I suggest Stourbridge Junction, which is also one stop away from a station which has a CRS code identical to its name.

Just to clarify. There is no level crossing at Steeton & Silsden

Stourbridge Jct. is the junction of a branch line with no intermediate stations so is Drem.

Indeed. Platforms can be staggered without the addition of a level crossing.

In my opinion the position of the platforms is a different association to their proximity to a level crossing, however I'm not a quizmaster or adjudicator.

Drem is five stations from Edinburgh on the East Coast main Line, whereas Newtongrange is five stations from Edinburgh on the Borders Line.

Probably the steepest gradient on the national network is the i in 29 between City Thameslink and Blackfriars.

Hoxton is on the East London Line which serves four London Overground routes. The shortest of these is Dalston Jct. to New Cross.

Bickley is the junction station from the Chatham main line to the South Eastern main line at Petts Wood.
