Before the 1923 Grouping, Wellington was jointly owned by the LNWR and GWR.

Another station under joint LNWR & GWR ownership (and co-incidentally you could travel directly between the two on a Birkenhead - Paddington train) was Hooton.

Aylesham serves a former coal mining community so does Merthyr Vale.
We think this is probably a Settlement Association link rather than a Station Association link which should be rail related, but let's carry on anyway

The Grove Park-Bromley North service which serves Sundridge Park is normally worked by Networkers. Another such service is that between Victoria and Dartford

In 1961, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards met by chance at Dartford station, going on to be the core writing team of the Rolling Stones; there is a plaque on the London-bound platform to commemorate this fact. Another station with a plaque marking a pop music occasion is Widnes, which is generally believed to be the station where Paul Simon reputedly composed the song "Homeward Bound" in 1965.

Ardwick has a peak-hour-only service of one train inbound from New Mills Central to Manchester in the morning, and one train outbound to Rose Hill Marple in the evening (Monday – Saturday only). The only station from which a direct daily return to Ardwick is possible (without changing) is therefore Romiley, which is called at by both services.
