Abergele & Pensarn station was the location of two LMS Caravans (or Camping Coaches) in 1935 and 1936 followed by three caravans from 1937 to 1939. Roman Bridge station also hosted two LMS Caravans during the same period.

Roman Bridge is the penultimate station on the Blaenau Ffestiniog branch, whereas Galashiels is the equivalent on the Tweedbank branch.

The last three stations mentioned are on the Cathcart circle, a circular route from Glasgow Central. A similar circular route from Waterloo is the Kingston loop.

According to the programme from a railtour on which I travelled in 1977, Hampton Wick is two miles from Hampton and 743 miles from Wick.

The service at Wick is worked entirely by class 158 DMUS. Another station with its service provided by a single class of DMU, in this case class 171, is Rye.

Gobowen is the last station before the Welsh border on the Shrewsbury-Chester line. The last station before crossing back into England is Wrexham General.
