Someone commented on YouTube and said the transfer of 8 MANs to Mansfield is cancelled and they're "staying put" in Hull instead.
Is this another round of MAN U-Turns like we saw last year or what, its very confusing how MANs keep doing this

That’s a shame, won’t be getting the deckers from Scotland now I guess either, typical Hull

Hull will soon have to remove some of their buses anyway to make room for the new electric buses, with Hull official news saying, "Forty of the vehicles are destined for the roads of Hull and East Yorkshire and will replace parts of the decade-old diesel fleets of Stagecoach East Midlands." They have ordered the electric buses in April, with a quote saying, " In April, Stagecoach ordered its electric buses from Alexander Dennis ." So they are being made; it's just waiting on the depot to get electrified, but they don't have enough room for those buses, EV buses, and also some extra buses that would normally be doing some routes that are getting withdrawn.

EY have got the chargers now apparently they're just installing them somewhere ready, idk about Stagecoach cos they're nuts, I reckon they'll install them around Halloween.
MANs are getting kinda unreliable now though so its time they got replaced if you ask me, as much as I like them.

It has been obvious across the group recently that the remaining MANs are now a priority for replacement. There's actually few left in service now - Slatyford in Newcastle still have a batch, which will likely be replaced by the upcoming Yutong E12s there, and aside from the fleet left at Hull, there's only small batches left at Gloucester and Exeter (and both of those will likely go when electric buses arrive there too).

The only question now will be which division will be the last to operate them. MAN single decks have been operated by Stagecoach since 1998, with S101TRJ being the first at Manchester. The best part of 1000 were purchased and operated across the group.

19639 has been taxed again after being SORN for so long. It also received an MOT on 22nd August so would expect it to return to service very soon.

Merseyside has 6 left, got me thinking how many Solos are left with MAN engines? as other than the MX59 E400s they are the only others left within Stagecoach other than the MAN E300s.

Hull has had MAN everything pretty much, ALX300s, E200s, E300s, E400s, you name it
I wonder if any more MX59s will get repainted at Hull or whether they're going to prioritise the MMCs and the non-standard paint E400s (10062 could use a repaint tbf) and 19639 will be a one off in the repaints like 26172 currently is

MAN Enviro 300’s 22766 & 22771 have just returned to service after repairs at Rawmarsh. Generally can be found on most routes except 22x, 221 & 137

Perhaps worth noting that the batches left at Slatyford, Gloucester and Exeter have all been retrofitted with Euro 6 spec Cummins engines, so may not be deemed necessary for withdrawal just yet.

Hull is now the last stronghold for MAN engined E300s, and their 2010 examples have also been retrofitted with Cummins engines. Besides Hull there’s just a few at Gillmoss and Rawmarsh which aren’t expected to last much longer, as well as the remainder of the MAN E400s in East Scotland, nominally school buses.

Like you say will be interesting to see where the last ones operate, I for once will miss them, rather fun buses to ride as an enthusiast and always been a Stagecoach novelty!

I’m quite saddened to see them go Gillmoss managed to get the best out of theirs, not so keen on the Euro 6 Cummins retrofits, they feel like a very dull ADL based E300.

How true is it that Hull is confirmed to be getting 19621-35 from Scotland
From what I have heard the 22's and 24's are now staying at Hull until the electrics arrive later this year the electrics are likely replacing them

I not heard anything confirming a batch of 19's of that size coming but with Hull fair next month buses could be drafted in from anywhere

Hello, just a quick question for anyone who might have an idea surrounding this bus 11682 (YX73 OWU) since it had engine failure and has been repaired and repainted. However, now it's just sitting there waiting for something; I'm unsure what it could be . The only thing I can think of is vinyls; however, Mansfield tends to send buses out even if they don't have vinyls on them. For example, 10974 (SN18 KTJ) was in service for a week in the new Pronto livery, just with no vinyls (https://flic.kr/p/2qwLyxS).

Since the Hull duty changes, I've noticed the 350 for Scunthorpe has been extended from 3 duties to 5 duties, and the Hull is now 2 duties instead of 3. So now, the "odd" 19 plate (26255 YW19 VRC) is free for normal services, but its been working the 4 and 6 because for some reason, H0402 links the 4/6 in daytime, then after 6pm, it does the 8pm 350 to Scunthorpe and then a 350 short to Barton-upon-Humber, which turns into the late-night 255. So instead of 26255 being locked into the 350, its now kinda locked into the 4 and 6, but my question is; why the 4 and 6? Its not like its some flagship or "big" route in Hull, (don't get me wrong I'm not complaining, as this gives me a bigger chance of riding it now), but surely 4/6 was a weird choice. Then again Stagecoach are kinda weird.

Anyway, repaint news; 10739 SN66 VXG is now in "we've got you" along with 27762 at Gainsborough. Next ones should be 37459 SN67 WVA and (maybe) 11766 YX73 OZO.

Far from confirmed, but you'd certainly expect when the time comes to concentate all the remaining MAN engines at one depot/region.
Although really, the suprise is that a greater effort hasn't been made to remove the remaining MANs and Volvos from East Midlands

There looks to be an error in the data as the 350 services show as being as part of H0402 when at the same time the bus on that block should be on other evening Hull services. I think the 350 services should actually be part of H0401 with the late 255 as it would make sure sense as was shown yesterday with 26255 running the H0401 with those included.

I am surprised the 11195 hasn’t returned to service yet as it has been back from repaint a few weeks. When 10739 went after and has returned to service before it.

I may be able to answer that. Before its repaint, I was on 11769 YX73 OZS (I'd seen 11195 down Newland before this event) and we had to divert because 11195 had broken down (I dodged a bullet because if I had got 11195 which was the bus before 11769, I would have been there, tho I could have took commerative photos of the event but oh well). So 11195 could still be experiencing issues with whatever broke the first time and need repairs.

As for the data, it does look like an error as H0402 cannot physically be doing the 7/8 and 350 at the exact same time, and there's a gap in H0401 where the two 350s should be (explains why its had 26255 attached to it 3 days straight, seeing as only 2 buses are required from Hull now for the 350 to Scunthorpe in daytime). I shall ride this bus one day in the very near future, but its nice to have a break from the 5 other ones which MANs usually attached.

Looks like Mansfield has picked up another DD school run - 345 into Rainworth. This has started tracking during the week (tho not on Tuesday when schools went back). It is tracking, and timetable shown on Bustimes, alongside established 343 into same school. No reference on SEM website whilst Notts CC shows contract as Freeway Coaches until 2027. Wonder if SEM is emergency replacement. Freeway do not track on Bustimes so no evidence whether their other school runs continue or if they have folded. There is no evidence on Bustimes for either operator registering the route at anytime, but I suspect it is pass holders only with no onboard fare collection. SEM appear to be using a spare bus.
