I've seen someone smoking on Platform 13 at Clapham Junction in the open area, and I recently saw two people hiding round the corner under the bridge at Platform 15 at Clapham Junction. I also recently saw someone smoking weed (I can only assume its weed as it smelt worse than Tobacco, but I'm not a smoker and I never will be, so I can't tell) at Kenley sitting under the footbridge on Platform 1 so the CCTV couldn't see him.
It irritates me when someone smokes on a station with no regard for any other passengers, even though its illegal. I want to report them but by the time I do so, they would have put their fag out.
Smoking on a train is even worse. I was on 455 820 on a Caterham to London Victoria train and at Purley, it suddenly stunk of Cigarette smoke where I was sitting in the rear DTSO. I looked to see if it was anyone around me but there wasnt, but when we left Purley, the smell cleared. I don't think there was a guard on board, so I wondered how the smell emerged.
