Not this Forum (Jet2 holidays - they are not to know I don't have a passport - and Paver's Shoes, which means nothing except I wouldn't buy shoes on-line).
My Outlook account continues to attract the inappropriate ads. Car, van & truck rental ... in Germany!. The knowledge that my account ends .co.uk might be a clue that the ad is unlikely to be productive. I can return the vehicle to Bochum apparently. I have never been to Germany and have never searched for car rental (mainly because I don't drive)!
Still, I would rather have adverts like that, it does make a change!

I've just had an advert on the forum home page from a company called City Express Money Transfer (screenshot attached below). The most confusing thing is that there Facebook page gives a location of Kathmandu, Nepal. Only problems are a) can't read the language and b) there is a fair few thousand miles between Cornwall and Nepal

I'm now getting adverts for "Visit Jordan - the timeless kingdom", and "Log Cabin Configurator" - none of which I have the remotest interest in, and none of which are related to any of my recent internet searches.
I've just refreshed, and I'm now being offered a ski holiday in Kitzbuhel, "Austria's best ski resort," according to the advert.
Anyone who's seen me balancing on a wall, riding a bicycle, or in fact doing anything involving balance, will know that skiing is not exactly the sort of thing I'd be happy to do...

I'm actually getting Dell computer adverts and Howdens Kitchen Brochure now, which are slightly better than booze adverts (I wasn't an aide to Boris Johnson) but not much...

(My bolding) -- have just noticed this exchange. So that's what that outfit is called nowadays? (I confess that in the main, I deliberately avoid current affairs.) I recall from a scene with which I was briefly involved nearly 25 years ago -- which even then, was concerned about mischief-making by Russia in international doings -- that said agency then went by "SVR": which amused me by being also the initials of the Severn Valley Railway.

Reminds me of stolen property. I was once told by a pub landlord that the things people sold in his pub were overpriced but people bought them because they assumed stolen meant an amazingly good bargain. He said they were unlikely to be stolen as otherwise they would get collared.
That reminds me of "Cash Converters" that sells second hand items. Many times I discover the same item in the likes of Argos for less.

It links to a fake BBC News report, where Rishi Sunak is apparently encouraging everyone to invest in Bitcoin.
Unfortunately working in a bank I regularly see people fall for nonsense like this. I've reported it to Google and the National Cyber Security Centre.
