Thanks.

There can be many answers to this question but specifically, in travel terms, what would the Darién Gap stop you achieving?

The Darien Gap, a shortish but topographically very difficult stretch of land in the east of Panama, is a great obstacle to getting by land, from Central America (Panama) to South America (Colombia) or vice versa. If I have things rightly, getting across the Gap is physically just possible (but not with a road motor vehicle); but is also dangerous owing to the presence of sundry ill-disposed persons.

You have describe exactly the geographical feature that is the Darién Gap. The 66 miles in question preclude one from achieving/completing a specific feat...

Well given the huge amount of information given I suggest it stops you travelling all the way along the pan american highway by motorised vehicle.
Your suggestion is correct. Sorry @Calthrop, it was the specific answer I was looking for.

@OhNoAPacer - keys to the MG are in your hand (very obscure central American/Caribbean car link there).

We will remain with football but change the code.
Who are the only Rugby Union team to win a bronze medal at the Olympics (the full 15 a side version not Rugby Sevens)?
