Thanks for the update. Look forward to seeing it later at Leicester.
Thanks, I’d thought 002 was the other one but wasn’t sure. Its been 02 and 03 at peterborough for quite a while im pretty sure
Does anyone know the answer to this question please? From what I've been able to search across the internet so far, no one seems to know the answer!Does anyone know what day and which boat 99007 arrived at Portbury on please? The boats name and/or the IMO (International Maritime Organisation) 7 digit number would be appreciated.
Probably Oregon Highway which has come from Sagunto. IMO 9381665. (From Marinetraffic.com).Does anyone know the answer to this question please? From what I've been able to search across the internet so far, no one seems to know the answer!
Current Class 99 locations are the same as posts #1508 and #1509. Nothing has changed since then apart from the arrival of 99007.
See these reports appearing across RailforumsUK, appreciate this is a TOPS report and useful to many but I don't understand all the abbreviations. I can guess some of the meanings (like LESTER is Leicester) and the loco numbers, but not what MBEL means for example. Can anyone link me to an explanation of all of the abbreviations on these reports please.Friday morning update
99001 MBEL LESTER SD LESTER SD F B
99002 MBEL PBOROSDGB PBOROSDGB F B
99003 MBEL PBONYGBRF PBONYGBRF F B

There is a list of abbreviations somewhere - I think a thread. MBEL is the loco pool: PBOROSDGB is probably Peterborough Depot, GBRf. The odd letters reflect the status, but I can't quote what they all are, expect "N" is normal and I think letters like "A" or "B" are Exams. Most of the location abbreviations can be worked out (like LESTER or PBORO) but I must say, some are a bit onscure !See these reports appearing across RailforumsUK, appreciate this is a TOPS report and useful to many but I don't understand all the abbreviations. No, Belmond railtoursPosh trains as in Royal?
Assume this means the Britannic explorer? Unless someone knows that gbrf have already taken over from dB cargo on the other trains? No, Belmond railtours
It's been previously known about the Britannic Explorer going over to 99s but I now assume from that, that the Royal Scotsman will also go over to 99s as well?WNXX news pages reporting that 6 of the 10 ETS equipped 99s will arrive into the UK in a Belmond livery for use on the posh trains
Given that GBRF don't do steam I can see the British Pullman staying with DB.taken over from dB cargo on the other trains?
Presumably these locos will cover both the Britannic Explorer and the Royal Scotsman, right?Assume this means the Britannic explorer? Unless someone knows that gbrf have already taken over from dB cargo on the other trains?
The actuall text from wnxx attached belowWNXX news pages reporting that 6 of the 10 ETS equipped 99s will arrive into the UK in a Belmond livery for use on the posh trains
Looking ahead at the ten ETS equipped Class 99s (99021 to 99030) being constructed for use by GBRf, it is planned (this will be dependent on contractual things in play at the moment) for six of these to be delivered in Belmond livery. This will allow for the Class to be deployed to both the Belmond Britannic Explorer and Belmond British Pullman operations, the latter currently operated by DBC with Class 67s.
How many trains do Belmond run they can justify 6 painted locomotives? Is it known if they will be dedicated to Belmond trains (which presumably isn't a very high utilisation rate, but if that's what Belmond want to pay for...) or general use in between Belmond workings?WNXX news pages reporting that 6 of the 10 ETS equipped 99s will arrive into the UK in a Belmond livery for use on the posh trains
Royal Scotsman sometimes uses 2, then there is the Brittanic Explorer which uses 2.How many trains do Belmond run they can justify 6 painted locomotives? Thank you for taking the time to answer. 99007 was seen at Portbury on 28th April. I don't know if that's the date Oregon Highway arrived at Portbury, can anyone confirm this please?Probably Oregon Highway which has come from Sagunto. IMO 9381665. (From Marinetraffic.com).
If I'm reading Vesselfinder correctly it looks like it didnt arrive Portbury until 30/04/26 06:21Thank you for taking the time to answer. 99007 was seen at Portbury on 28th April. I don't know if that's the date Oregon Highway arrived at Portbury, can anyone confirm this please?
A little birdie tells me these all of these paths are associated with the 99s. But 4Q82 is followed by 0E82 from March to Peterborough so who knows.. perhaps they are hooking up to a 66 for the returnNew test paths for GBRF added all next week with headcode 4Qxx going between peterborough and doncaster, possibly top and tail class 99s because they are pathed into the station with a turn around time of 10 minutes, im pretty sure at least, they are going on both ECML and Via Lincoln line at both day and night from tuesday, it is very possible ita something else entirely but im not sure what else would use both 4 and Q in headcode, we need more info because the loco that gets the wagons at march has headcode 0Z37 not 0Q37 which might suggest its not 99s, im not sure but these paths are really confusing me
I thought the plan would be that these would be 99401-99410?The actuall text from wnxx attached belowLooking ahead at the ten ETS equipped Class 99s (99021 to 99030) being constructed for use by GBRf, it is planned (this will be dependent on contractual things in play at the moment) for six of these to be delivered in Belmond livery. Is it also possible the class 99s dont need Q anymore for light loco movements?A little birdie tells me these all of these paths are associated with the 99s. But 4Q82 is followed by 0E82 from March to Peterborough so who knows.. perhaps they are hooking up to a 66 for the return
I only heard that from forum members and it never made much sense to me.I thought the plan would be that these would be 99401-99410?
Thank you @Dood75 - assuming that's correct that means it must have been another boat and not Oregon Highway, as the earliest picture I've seen of 99007 at Portbury was on the 28th.If I'm reading Vesselfinder correctly it looks like it didnt arrive Portbury until 30/04/26 06:21
Not sure the angle of the question?I thought the plan would be that these would be 99401-99410?
