Brilliant write up!

As an aside, having the the different 99s journeys all plotted on some sort of heat map would be cool.
I agree, that would be amazing to see. I do have every 99's individual working (except one from November 2025 that remains a mystery) logged, so if there was someone smarter with technology than me then I'm sure it could be done.

As an example for what I note down and how I do it, here's 99005's:

99005 (91 70 0099 005-6)

No.1
0Q33 14:10 Portbury – Leicester 18:34 25/02/26 via Bedminster, Bristol Temple Meads, Filton Abbey Wood, Bristol Parkway, Cheltenham Spa, Bromsgrove, Water Orton and Nuneaton. The consist was 57305+99006+99005 throughout. Departed Portbury at 12:26 104 early and arrived at Leicester depot at 17:42 52 early.

Just my own prediction, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's the 2 that will be working off Peterborough this week. So, barring any failures, that's 99001 and whichever 99 worked 0Q75 Leicester - March this morning.

Good evening,
I passed Peterborough this evening. 99007 was on its own attached to wagons, with 99002 plus one other paired separately, I assume this is 99003?

WNXX is reporting that 99008 and 009 will arrive at Portbury on the 15th.
Excellent, that makes sense with what @zwk500 posted in post #1587 that Amphitrite Highway is the most likely ship to have 99008+99009 on board. This ship is currently en-route from Barcelona to Portbury and currently has an ETA of May 14th at 00:00 according to Vesselfinder.

You saw 99001, 99002 and 99007 as they're the 99's currently at Peterborough.

Current locations of 99's as of 07:00, as far as I know, are:

99001 - 139 confirmed mainline workings - Currently at Peterborough yard since 08/05/26 arriving on 0E99.
99002 - 128 confirmed mainline workings - Currently at Peterborough yard since 11/05/26 arriving on 4Q75.
99003 - 31 confirmed mainline workings - Currently at Leicester depot since 08/05/26 arriving on 0M99.
99004 - 28 confirmed mainline workings - Currently at Leicester depot since 11/05/26 arriving on 0Z47.
99005 - 24 confirmed mainline workings - Currently at Leicester depot since 01/05/26 arriving on 0Q22.
99006 - 31 confirmed mainline workings - Currently at Leicester depot since 01/05/26 arriving on 0Q22.
99007 - 3 confirmed mainline workings - Currently at Peterborough yard since 11/05/26 arriving on 4Q75.

== Doublepost prevention - post automatically merged: ==

99 005 and 99 006 are quoted.
Can now 99% (please excuse the pun!) confirm this as there are paths to Bo'ness in the system from Leicester via Doncaster for tomorrow!

0Z45 Leicester - Doncaster Decoy via Loughborough, Toton, Alfreton, Chesterfield, Beighton Jn, Masborough Jn, Swinton and Mexborough. First ever 99's to appear on the route from Barrow Hill North Jn onwards:

And 0Z45 connects into an 0Z77 Doncaster Decoy - Bo'ness:

Have all 7 of these locos now been in revenue earning duty for GBRf?

None of them have worked a revenue earning freight service yet;
only light engine/test/driver training workings which are the exact
opposite of revenue earning!

I can only assume that they are waiting for the next two to arrive
in the UK before entrusting them to any 'proper' work.

Does 99001 on 4Q04 Millerhill- Doncaster intermodal on 13/10/25 count as revenue earning?

But the 99 is providing power to a revenue earning service.
Even if it's not providing 100% of the power, surely that counts as running a revenue earning service
I suppose it becomes a bit of a grey area as the loco is clearly powering a service train for GB but is really only there to test the loco with a load behind it (presuming the working in question was a loaded test run)

This.

It's like the RoG class 93 which piloted a DB intermodal service to Mossend earlier
in the year - the train itself was revenue earning, but I'm sure that most people
would accept that the use of the 93 was nothing more than a test/demonstration.

Hopefully we are close to class 99s being gainfully employed on revenue earning
freight services without other locos on the train for 'insurance' , but it definitely
hasn't happened yet!

I agree completely - hence my comment!

It was pretty clearly on the train as a test.

So that's definitely 5 and 6 that are going to Bo'ness then.

99006 leading at Doncaster according to a post I’ve just read on another site.

If the gen from WNXX has been interpreted correctly, 008 & 009 are rounding Lands End right now. Keep your eye out for STP workings to Portbury in the next few days (better not be Saturday, I’m busy)
