If Manchester United either draw or win their final home game of the season against Bournemouth, they will overtake Southampton, having gained more points and be in fifth position.
However, should Manchester United lose, than they will have the same number of points than Southampton, but with an inferior goal difference, meaning that Southampton will finish in fifth position.

Just seen its expected to cost man Utd approx £3m!
All tickets will be valid for Tuesday, and also a full refund issued to all ticket holders.
Bournemouth are said to be arranging complimentary transport for Tuesday night for their fans, although I imagine man Utd fans will have further to travel.

Not forgetting the very recent organised large-scale terrorist simulation that was carried out at the Trafford Centre, so at least the incident at Old Trafford would have been a real-life scenario in how large numbers of people in a sports stadium had to be dealt with by the forces in charge.

Exactly. a "real life" review of your systems and processes provides lots of useful feedback to help improve.
The stadium seems to have been evacuated quickly, safely and with a minimum of fuss and with no panic from those involved.

Back home after a brilliant day yesterday. I'm not ashamed to admit I had a tear or two in my eye when the 3rd went in.
Thought we thoroughly deserved the win yesterday as apart from their superb goal I don't think they really troubled our keeper, especially with that miss of Parkins.
Great to see Bogle grab a couple of goals too as Amond had a quiet game yesterday.
It'll also give our players an incentive to sign on again next season as we only have 3 contracted for next season at the minute.
Now to sell a few more thousand tickets and have a big "Goodbye To Non-League" party next week.

Well we properly Spurs'd up our play-off first leg at Valley Parade, losing 3-1 to Millwall despite taking the lead and outplaying them for most of the second half. We've been here before in the playoffs, still crossing fingers for Friday, but can't really see a way back. It's been the same problem we've had all season, we just can't score enough goals. That said, I think we'd have our asses handed back to us on a plate in the Championship, which did no good at all to Yeovil, Scunthorpe and Doncaster (among others) so it may be a blessing in disguise.
Still, at least St Totteringham's Day cheered me up

Was hoping for an all Yorkshire final in the 3rd division, will be cheering on Barnsley if they don't throw it away in the 2nd leg. Hoping for another local derby next season...

Hope Wednesday go up, can't stand Steve Bruce as I've never forgiven him for selling Marcus Stewart to Ipswich. Besides Hull City are a small, lower-league club like Wigan really. No history there at all...

Bad luck Brighton, would have been nice to have another South Coast based team in the top flight.
Nice to see another Wednesday fan on here!
I think we were the better team over the two legs, although I do feel sorry for Brighton as they've played really well all season. I'm really looking forward to the play offs final, win or lose I think it's been a great season for The Owls.
