Hull squeaked through. Absolutely battered tonight. Derby gave it a massive go and came very close. Not sure anyone would have picked a Hull V Sheff Wed play off final at the start of the season.

I fancy the 'Wednesday to win the final on the basis of what I've seen this season. Not sure whether I'll head to Wembley to see the final, might be too much to bear!

So you're saying that trying to provoke disorder is all part of the game? Something that everyone else is trying rid the game of? By all means celebrate your safe passage through to Wembley but there is no excuse for trying to start a fight.

I watched the game and saw no real trouble provoking happening

I am sure that having opposition fans running onto the playing surface in order to confront opposition players must contravene some FA rule. I am sure that the FA have had to deal with this type of matter before.

I should imagine that the police would also take none too kindly about such a matter taking place and a quick mental referral to the laws governing such a matter would come up with a suitable one to fit the occasion.

And yet you didn't see Hull City supporters running on to the pitch and trying to provoke Derby County players? Incidentally I'm curious to know why no mention of the television was made when you stated that you'd settled down to listen to the radio.

We got nailed at Preston a few years ago by the FA for failure to control our fans when we "invaded" the pitch after beating Blackpool in a league cup tie. Paul Ince, Blackpool's manager at the time completely lost the plot saying a fan could have been carrying a knife !

I think Hull will have a few thousand extra "temporary" fans from Sheffield Utd on the day !
