Calling you a liar or idiot is not slander. Sorry.

But the implication that I am a thug *is*. I stated I was not such a person whereupon it was called a liar - therefore, implying I am a thug.

Regardless, I have reported it for moderation - I just hope I get a fair hearing

They were certainly unsavory scenes and the idiots involved want sorting out but it is nothing to get in a tizzy about.

Your own definition provides a clue: This isn't an oral defamation therefore is not slander. I also think quantifying your loss for damages might be a tad tricky.

Thats nothing...
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---

We'll take them...

Whatever happens, it will be won by a Yorkshire team and so the White Rose will be victorious

Oh, is it really 'nothing'? How would you feel if you were one of the Derby players?

Indeed, a Yorkshire team will win - but your fans didn't behave like Yorkshire fans last night. Come on Wednesday! :D

Villa have confirmed they have been bought by the Chinese Recon Group.

http://www.skysports.com/football/n...-sold-to-chinese-company-owned-by-dr-tony-xia

Randy Lerner has sold Aston Villa to the Recon Group, owned by Chinese businessman Dr Tony Jiantong Xia.
The deal is for 100 per cent ownership and will go through subject to approval by the Premier League and Football League.
It is understood that the new regime has spoken to Roberto Di Matteo's representatives as their preferred choice as head coach.

He never said the word 'thug'.

Incidentally, the Europa League final is tonight in Basel! Who will it be - Liverpool or Sevilla?

Are you saying this is normal behaviour by your supporters? Are you condoning such behaviour?!

It would appear so.

However, I will withdraw my challenge made to HMS Ark Royal's comments if he can bring up an incident where supporters' conduct was much worse than this without it being exceptional - otherwise he is not justified in calling the behaviour being debated 'nothing'.

Depends on how you define this phrase. We probably don't agree on it...

So the Champions League rejects (Sevilla) win against Liverpool, boo :(

UEFA should change the rules so that teams finishing 3rd in the champions league group stage don't drop down for a second chance.

Poor isn't a strong enough word to describe Moreno's performance. What about abject?

Agreed. From what I saw, I thought the midfield was anonymous for most of the game and provided very little service to Sturridge. I think Allen and Lucas should have started instead of Can and Lallana. Lucas would have been able to screen the defence, and I think Allen is more effective in a central position than Milner, who in my view is better in a wide attacking role.

For me, Kolo Touré was by far Liverpool's best player.

I feel rather sympathetic for Accrington Stanley.Having missed out on automatic promotion by goal difference and then to lose in a two legged play off semi final must be hard to take.I genuinely feel for their staff, players, manager and supporters.

Looks like Salisbury FC has been placed into the Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West, nice friendly rivalry with Winchester awaits

Promoted from the Wessex League

Great! :D

On exactly the 120th post of the thread - and after five months of calculations - I am pleased to announce that I have just posted the final updates to The Grand RailUK Fantasy Football League! There have been some upsets - including Fort William overtaking Aston Villa, and Chelsea not breaking the top 10 - but none more so than the final result.

You can view the wrap-up post here! Discussion will probably continue on the thread about whether or not we do this next year, so keep your eyes peeled! I'm hoping to roll out a proper nominations system for selecting the teams in the first place next season.

That's the play offs for you. Brighton, Walsall, Stanley and Forest Green Rovers all finished one place outside of the automatic promotion places and have missed out on promotion.

Owing to a medical emergency, I am not able to access the current Evo-Stik new 2016/7 league fixtures, so can anyone confirm that after three successive relegations, Hyde United will be playing in the Evo-Stik Northern League Division One North in the coming season.

That's correct.

Could be worse, imagine being top of the League for 3quarters of the season, being over taken in the last month of the season by your local rivals, eventually finishing second on 99pts and losing 4-3 to a last minute goal at home, in the play off semi, that feat fell to Blyth Spartans.:lol::lol:

Many a Gateshead fan, laughed so much, we nearly wee'd.

Chandler returning to your lot. Not with Cartman and Thompson in the team you won't, they'll struggle enext season in the Conf North. Philly Turnbull a class act, see he swept the board, in the player of the year, If you have any sense you"ll snap up James Curtis too.

Wish you'd hurry up, derbies at Barrow n Halifax:oops::oops:

What's it called? It's called Cumbernauld
Hibernian 3 - 2 Sevco 5088/Sevco Scotland/The Rangers/Rangers International Football Club

Hibs have won the Scottish Cup for the first time since 1912, while this was the very first final appearance for the Ibrox outfit since the present incarnation formed in 2012.

There have been reports in the Glasgow Herald that there has been a pitch invasion with apparently some "fans" being assaulted. It is not yet clear who started it, and let's hope nobody is seriously hurt.

And it seems Louis Van Gaal is being rewarded for his cup win......with instant dismissal.
