All this talk of Trafford (and not Trafford FC either), Newton Heath and the quintessential Small Heath from
SS4 has given me an idea. How would everyone's perceptions on the various clubs around the country change if we referred to them using archaic names? Would everyone understand if I referred to Arsenal as Dial Square for instance?

But stereotypes exist for a reason, as you have inferred. As a general (but by no means entirely accurate) rule of thumb, everyone in Manchester supports City, and everyone outside supports United...
