England did their typical wham bam start, Crawley hit 21 off 14 balls before being caught and bowled by Matt Henry & 4 balls later Duckett was LBW, leaving Henry with 2 - 16 off 3 overs.
In his 5 innings so far in this series Crawley has scored 2 runs off Henry and been out by him 5 times!

Two wickets in the same over for Will O'Rourke, Jacob Bethell for 12 off 33 balls and Harry Brook for a golden duck leaving England 77-4 .
England wickets still falling Joe Root was next out caught for 33 leaving them 82-5 and Will O'Rourke 3 - 13.

Ollie Pope was next to go caught for 24 followed by Stokes lbw for 27 giving Mitchell Santner 2-5 and the visitors 137 - 7.
With 4 more on the board Atkinson wss the 8th wicket to fall scoring 4.

Fortunately I stayed watching the Aus game from the Gabba which ended with India 51-4 chasing Australia's 448.
In the England game i've just read that Zac Crawley was 'done' by Matt Henry for the 6th time in 6 innings leaving him with a Tour average of 8.66.

When a team is set more than 600 in the final innings and reach a score of 122-2 with two of their best players at the crease, you would not expect them to lose so many wickets for such a poor score return.

Any suggestion that the game could be saved from 640 behind is just fanciful, and a quick glance at the weather forecast for Hamilton would reveal that there was no prospect of help from that quarter. It is also very easy to overlook the mental effect of being in that position and how that will affect the batters.

I really loved watching that knock. Not afraid to shy away from that beautiful reverse ramp having missed out the first 2 times

It shows the difference between him and McSweeney perfectly. Bumrah is too good for someone playing ”proper cricket“, and McSweeney is very much a proper, very defensive player. Not bad, but not what was needed. Konstas’ commanding knock was perfect for the situation.

We are so used to India using Bumrah’s bowling and Kohli’s words to overpower opponents, but Konstas was all over Bumrah and Konstas also had the first word in his confrontation with Kohli. A wonderful confidence (welcome arrogance?). India are rattled.

It feels to me like the second coming of David Warner. So confident and aggressive, and not afraid to take the game to the opposition, whether it be with bat or words.

Seems to be getting the best out of Usman Khawaja as well, who is batting largely cleanly for the first time this series.

Talking of commentators I really enjoyed listening to Alysha Healy the Oz ladies captain and wicky. Awoke at 0400 for some unearthly reason, so I logged on to find that India were 326-7 in their first innings with an unbroken stand of 105 between Nitish Kumar Reddy (85 not out) and Washington Sundar (40 not out).

At close, NKR was 105*(176) - major congrats to him. His stand with Sundar (50) was 127 in the end, and Bumrah was out for a duck not long after, but Siraj survived. Will be a power hitting job from NKR tonight as India are 358-9, trailing by 116

At lunch, after 25 overs Oz are 2-53 giving them a lead of 158.
Bumrah in particular has bowled really well and on another day would have had 3 or 4.
