It was one of your own countrymen quite some years ago who described Jimmy Anderson as an "elderly pie chucker" and five years later, he was still adding to his total Test Match cricket pace bowling total haul

Day 3 of the Test Match saw the Indian openers take the score on to 201 in their second innings before that partnership was finally broken and then their determination to build a commanding lead saw then bat on remorselessly before declaring with the score at 487-6, setting Australia just over two days to reach the required target of 534 to win.
In the time it took to let the Indian bowlers have a few overs at the Ausses, the day closed with Australia on 12-3 in their second innings, with Bumrah adding to his first innings "5-for" with a short burst that was 2.2 - 1 - 1 - 2.
Day 4 started badly and in the 6th over of the Australian second innings, Khawaja was caught behind off the bowling of Siraj to leave Australia on 17-4. Smith and Head are the pair now at the crease.

The difference is Marnus is an elderly batsman who thinks he's bowler. At the moment he's crap at both.

I believe it's the worst loss to India on Australian soil. The next worse was 220 odd.

Some interesting things noticed:
Ivory Coast were bowled out for 7 runs in a Men’s T20I match against Nigeria in Lagos. One player scored 4, three others scored 1 & six batters registered duck. Nigeria had scored 271-4 from their overs winning by 264 runs, the third biggest margin of victory in T20 cricket.
The record low is 6 scored by Mali & Maldives women in a match in 2019.
The West Indies domestic one day tournament final was abandoned after neither captain turned up for the toss. The match which was heavily delayed by rain to being a 20 over match but neither captain turning up meant the match went past the latest time allowed.

In the Test Match, New Zealand were all out for 348 in their first innings, of which no less than 42 of these were "extras". In reply, England looked in trouble when they reached 71-4 in their first innings, but from that point onwards, they made a very good recovery to reach 319-5.

A large portion of humble pie for me please. I watched all 3 sessions on the first day and the first two of the second. The man has been superb, his wicket keeping was exemplary and his batting sound. More than happy to say sorry I was wrong.
Looked solid from the bits I watched of day 1. Of the 42 extras, 11nb and 11w aren’t on him, and the 8b and 12lb may have been on him but also maybe not

The rule of thumb is that byes are on the keeper, leg byes aren't (as long as the umps correctly signal wides, especially bouncers over head high that can go over the keeper for 4, and don't leave them as byes)

I assume theyll go with the same XI in the next test.
Some would have suggested Robinson be given the gloves for the 2nd test, but since Pope di pretty well, its unlikely theyll change a winning team, unless they decide to rotate the seamers. Possibly Potts in for Atkinson
