Its because he was charged with “only” affray that he has been reinstated subsequent to that. Had he been charged with assault or bodily harm I think he would still be suspended

The cameras are next to useless in spotting whether a ball has touched grass in close cases so, imo, the official should rule 'not out' if he's unsure.![]()
Apprantly balls hitting the grass is now out according to the 3rd umpire.

Most cases multiple camera angles paint the picture. It's the blurr-o-vision that's the issue. For some reason our TV networks that do sport can get a super slo mo of someone eating a pie in the stands but not where you need it!The cameras are next to useless in spotting whether a ball has touched grass in close cases so, imo, the official should rule 'not out' if he's unsure.
You would think they could do justice by Skype these days....
To say we were on 8-5 !!!!! at one point we set a reasonable target. I thought at that point we would need some good luck to get a 100+
That was quite something. I'm annoyed Smith took the foot off a bit.To say we were on 8-5 !!!!! at one point we set a reasonable target. I thought at that point we would need some good luck to get a 100+
Looked to be a good match for the inauguration. Ball a v poor substitute for Woakes though. Tye and T. Curran both did very well for novices. The final ODI is about to get underway at the new Perth Stadium.
Australia have won the first toss and will bowl first.

Anyone else see the utter farce in South Africa today? Lunch taken in the ODI with India needing two more runs to win. Two! I've long thought that having an interval when the first innings is over quickly is a nonsense* but this just takes the biscuit for absurdity.
*Personally I'd say that you take the full 40 minute break no matter when the first innings is over. No need for this silly innings break followed by some more play followed by the interval.
Madness: two runs with nine wickets in hand, to boot. How many of those spectators will now never attend another match? The reason will be MONEY of course: no doubt caterers would have to be handsomely recompensed if lunch wasn't taken.Anyone else see the utter farce in South Africa today? $139.00 (78 pound)They look like they were great seats ... as a matter of interest, how much did they cost, please?

Mind you where I was sitting were the most expansive seats which were the Platinum seats.Wow. Going to Edgbaston for T20 vs AUS in June, that's £56, and I thought that was expensive.
