Reported elsewhere that 456022 went on Friday so should have been 456013 tonight, or have they gone the other way round? There's certainly been two moves.
I was in the depot and it was 6022

All the green one's are gone. It's just a shame that they keep sending the darn things back to us, albeit with a different paint scheme and seating.
I keep hearing that they are coming off the Guildford - Ascot route anyway.
What's wrong with them?![]()
Presumably that happens around the time all the 458/5s are in normal service, to release the 450s?
So this December, or then again maybe some time next year?
Probably Dec 2016 the way it's going.![]()
How long have you got?
1. Underpowered.
2. Completely unsuitable for the route.
3. Speed restrictions compared to 450's.
4. Unreliable. See how many trains which have a 456 in their consist get cancelled.
5. The traction system is obsolete and causes low power &/or loss of traction issues.
6. They don't allow guards through to do commercial duties, so scroats are given free reign to do as they please.
7. No toilets for passengers or staff to use.
8. They should be kept where they belong... In London.
Are they always being used in formation with 2 455s? If they are I can long term see an extra order of 707s being made
I wonder if SouthEastern are using all their 466s
Should be 456021 as that's been away the longest.Saw red one coach on low loader @21:35.
I think that all the stations on the Kingston loop out of Waterloo have been lengthened to take 10-car trains. I have seen only one 456 in use on the loop, a six-car 455 and 456 service one afternoon about 10 days back. This was running late and ran non-stop from Richmond to Waterloo, which was neat (but not for those wishing to alight en route). Otherwise when ever I've been on Kingston loop or Shepperton services, they've been made up of either one or two 455s.
7. No toilets for passengers or staff to use.

They, for some reason, had a toilet in one car, and it stunk out most of the train. Worse than Voyagers. Horrible places to be.
They used to have toilets.
Back around 10 years ago when Southern came in and the slamdoors went out (sad times), 456s regularly showed up coupled onto a 455 or as 2x456 on the suburbans out of London Bridge, or as single units and the London Bridge-Victoria via Crystal Palace. An unfortunate event, in those times.
They were unrefurbished - in a very, very sorry state too. Patchy, faded, unbranded NSE livery on the outside, beige inside with knackered NSE blue seats and windows scratched to opacity. They, for some reason, had a toilet in one car, and it stunk out most of the train. Worse than Voyagers. Horrible places to be.
The small window on the DTSO is where the toilet used to be.Wasn't there the same sort of story on the 159's that the toilet was where the cab is now?
The centre coaches used to have 2 toilets at the same end, one was removed and the area turned into a lockable storage area, when the trains were refurbished the area was opened out into a seating area.
Not sure then,just what I was told.Anyway had 5737+456014 today.The other 456 decided to give it a miss.Guard told me it's normally 8 coaches.
Ah, that confirms the consist thenI saw them too, but misread MSO 62819 as 62829 and messed it up, although got DMSO 64748 right
. Seen on the 2J48 1554 Hampton Court to London Waterloo.
