Class 456's on the move?

The fact that the whole fleet has had them brought in to use in the space of one weekend suggests it was not a difficult job too.

You can't put things manually on it though. We tried to put "Good Morning" just as a simple unoffensive test on a set and nothing happens!

Which is a bit of a shame as it would be useful to have the ability to put Surbiton, Shuttle/Special Service, Leatherhead etc on there for times of engineering work or disruption.

I tried to put something up too, but to no avail! There are PIS codes for most the normal engineering works tbf, so it should normally be OK. Unfortunately despite the 456s having a bigger, better board than the Desiros, they seem to use the same abbreviations so you just get Lon W'loo despite the board being able to fit more.

This evening I was rather amused to see that a 456 had "Lon W'loo" on it taking up less than half the screen length... Why on Earth not just write "Waterloo", which would fit without needing to be abbreviated? Isn't the "London" bit surplus to requirements given the lines they operate on?
