Don't hold your breath...however, there was a 313 farewell on GN a while back so you never know. I know a lot of GA drivers liked the 321's

Personally, I would like to see one returned to original Network SouthEast livery but I have no idea what the cost would be...

336 was in service last week.
With nameplate removed .
Again things can change.

Sad to see 440 go was definitely the best 321 in the fleet. Loudest motor coach of any of the MK3 BREL EMUs

336 has been in service all week, can’t speak for 343 though

Really hope so. Even if there isn’t a farewell tour, at the very least the pr accounts could acknowledge they have been withdrawn; I don’t want a repeat of the class 360 withdrawal where only Angel trains on a LinkedIn post acknowledged it 3 months later!

Given the pending future for the fleet, I can imagine it’ll be a vinyl job if it does happen, but I agree I would like to see it - partially makes up for not seeing the 90s leave due to Covid

Not as far as I know.
Wait and see what happens from the next timetable change or when it gets official ie on the moves away from clacton C.S.D.
For all we know maybe 427 could be.
In the same situation.
However let's wait and see to what officially goes off for storage etc.
On the moves.
No one knows for sure we can only advise on our sightings ie in sidings in service or been sighted in the same place for some time ie 321340 on the rear sidings buffers at clacton.

From what I’ve seen (I live close to the GEML), enough 720s are being introduced to cover most 321 diagrams, albeit operating as five car units most of the time instead of ten cars, even during peak hours.

last time I went on the 321 on 19/9/2021, I saw at least 5 5 car 720 units arrive and depart platform 9. Waited like 1/2hr for a 321 (410). That was also the same day that TFL rail services was sharing the same platform as Greater anglia services.

Sometimes the move just involves units returning to clacton from maintenance at ilford and do appear
However on saying that another 321 diagramm has just ended on the am working and pm working which involves the 2011 from braintree to London liverpool Street.
So one less non prm with a retanus leads to two.
Which might be very relevant to this.
However once again wait and see what happens this Friday. Iff any more go off lease and more so a week next Monday on the timetable change.
However early 2022. Not looking a good start to to the new year when probably just like early 2021 same story a large number off non prm 321s sadly leaving the area.
On nights Friday so will either do a clacton and southend for final time.
Even iff it is raining it down.

So, as it's coupled between two PRM units, that makes it a 12-car train

However, 12-car 321's don't (usually) run at the weekend so it will either remain on depot or come out as an 8-car. The other 4-car may work the Walton branch

But don't take this as gospel.

Thought I'd create this thread for people to post sightings and workings of the remaining 26 non-PRM Class 321's so that the last workings can be recorded. Their derogation expires on 31st December 2021 after which time, they will not be allowed in service. This means there are 7 weeks left to...
