Arriva shouldn't be taking a penny of profit, the state bus services are in.

The deterioration from four or five years ago has been shocking.

The poster means that he made a profit, as he got an unexpected free ride

Another Eclipse Gemini 2, 1701, has been withdrawn for scrap.
Now that Arriva has withdrawn the 51, how long does 663 have? Its Arriva Yorkshire's last Evolution, based at Selby. It was a mainstay on the Now withdrawn 51, are it's days numbered?

Probably until it breaks down or the MOT finishes I would think

Due to the reduced road width caused by the installation of a new cycle lane, Arriva along with First are pulling off buses from Whitehall Road in Leeds from September.

Arriva 229, 254 & 255 will now use Wellington Street, Inner Ring Road, Armley Gyratory & Ingram Distributor instead between King Street and Domestic Street. First services 55, 65, 75 will do similar.

Pulsars 1420 and 1423 have been withdrawn.

ADL400MMCs 1966 and 1967 have been repainted from Arriva's Sapphire livery to Arriva's Journey Mark livery.

Also allegedly going to Yorkshire are 5 former NXWM Streetdecks currently under refurbishment in Blackburn.

According to Tony on the West Midlands Bus Forum, they are due for Merseyside, and he did say there was a change of plan on where they was meant to go. Perhaps they was meant to go to Yorkshire, but possibly height issues prevented that with Yorkshire's streetdecks being low height

Arriva Merseyside have a large fleet of Gemini 2DLs and newer StreetDecks, most of which are low-height (the ex-London 777x examples, used for Rail Replacement work, are the exception). I wonder if they will release five of the low-heights to Yorkshire?

Theyll most likely free up E400s at Green Lane to replace the 58 plate examples at Speke.

For some time it seemed that plans for procuring 47 electric buses through West Yorkshire's share of ZEBRA 1 were dropped, and as of the 22 July bus franchising update that's been (indirectly) confirmed. From page 3:

3.10 The Combined Authority is delivering a zero-emission bus (ZEB) programme led by the availability of central government grant funding. This investment also includes charging infrastructure at bus depots. The programme is delivered in three phases, which all align to the funding sources, which are:
• Phase 1 – Zero Emission Bus Regional Areas (ZEBRA) scheme
• Phase 2 – Transforming Cities Fund (TCF)
• Phase 3 – City Region Sustainable Transport Scheme (CRSTS)

3.11 Progression of Phase 1 has involved delivery to date of a £49m investment to introduce 94 ZEBs* and charging infrastructure, partially funded through DfT’s ZEBRA funding (Grant Award in March 2022), along with private sector investment, due to be completed in 2025.

Richard Yoxall is the engineering person in question, and has posted on LinkedIn that there are 58 diesel ADL E200 and E400 MMC coming "for the regions". It will be interesting to see where they end up, as there's quite a few locations that are in desperate need of investment in the group.

Hmmm.... I think you may rather optimistic that as many of those will end up in Yorkshire (mentions the regions) and that Selby might get 5 new e200mmcs to replace 14 plates? There are many other locations whose need is more pressing.

Hybrids, e200s, and 58 plate e400s are leaving the fleet.

Heckmondwike are due 5 e400s from the North West. That should allow 1894 and 1895 to be withdrawn and the last 2 B7RLEs to leave Heckmondwike.

The 58 plate Pulsars are staying, for at least another year, they've all had new MOT's recently.

Volvo B7RLEs 1110 and 1111, should stay in the fleet till April to cover for repaints as floater buses

Selby won't get any e200mmcs as these will be more than likely the full length variants, you can't replace the minis with long e200mmcs on some of their routes, besides, 2 short MMCs have replaced 3 e200minis at Selby, and those minis have gone to Heckmondwike and Wakefield.

I was thinking that, unless tender requirements demand otherwise, the Selby routes aren't probably that lucrative to justify new vehicles especially when there is a need across the country for investment. Perhaps some of the mmcs elsewhere in Yorkshire might move across?
