Does anybody know if the 67 plate MMC's used for the Notts Uni contract have onboard announcements?
They must comply from 1st Oct 2025...
On a 67 plate they will have been factory fitted, although as the University of Nottingham contract is not a local bus service it isn’t relevant.

There is a bus at the back of the Derby depot in Arriva eco livery, looked like a Streetdeck body, any ideas what this could be? Maybe the electrically converted 4600?

If it is, let's hope it's more reliable that it was as a diesel bus.

Believe it’s one of leicesters being repaired

Most streetdecks from 2014/15 seemed to suffer poor reliability, I’m sure newpower will sort it out

How come the repair warrants a livery change? Knowing that Arriva is "cost-focussed", that wouldn't make sense?

All electric buses in Leicester are green, so it's either one of Leicester's new Electroliners, all of which are green since new, or it is the former 4600.

The window spacing upstairs would be a good clue.

I didn’t say it did? I said ‘believe it’s one of Leicester’s for repair’
Yeah I saw 8017 driving up London Road a couple days ago, but that was in Arriva electric livery (all green), whereas this particular bus at the back is in Arriva eco (Journey Mark with a white and green stripe).

Could be one of the Merseyside hybrids of the 4800-4850 batch, some of those have been to Derby for repaint.......

Just wondering, what causes a Wright Electroliner to break down? Just seen one marooned in Quorn with all the lights off and the passengers decamping to another vehicle.

I suspect that the service 127 has had its route altered in Rothley. Riding into Leicester today, my bus left Rothley and entered the A6 via Loughborough Road (used by outbound buses in the opposite direction) instead of Cossington Lane. Bustimes suggests that the 127 no longer serves the Cossington Lane stop.

Apparently the service 29/29A has had its route changed to serve Sence Valley Road and Grange Road through the Swinfen Vale and Hugglescote Grange estates in Coalville rather than Regs Way, which wasn't mentioned in the most recent round of service changes.

Do Arriva hate the 29s or what?! The 29s were already badly convoluted!

only a few limited journeys per day serve Ellistown area and are probably to compensate for the loss of the 28 which has been trimmed back to Ratby.

The 15 still runs hourly, and then there's the LC15 that also serves Ellistown. And the 29s don't go into Ellistown.

It's puzzling why they wouldn't publicise this service alteration when they did so for a much more minor route change in Ashby. The only way I knew was because of Arriva's latest edition of their Coalville network map and a report from someone I know who travelled the route yesterday.
