It's puzzling why they wouldn't publicise this service alteration when they did so for a much more minor route change in Ashby. The only way I knew was because of Arriva's latest edition of their Coalville network map and a report from someone I know who travelled the route yesterday.

Perhaps it is being publicised to the people who actually live in Swinfen Vale and Hugglescote Grange?

I suspect that the service 127 has had its route altered in Rothley. Riding into Leicester today, my bus left Rothley and entered the A6 via Loughborough Road (used by outbound buses in the opposite direction) instead of Cossington Lane. Bustimes suggests that the 127 no longer serves the Cossington Lane stop.

That would make sense as it would make it the same as the opposite direction and handy for the new estates

Although as of yet there are still no bus stops in Broadnook.

It's a pity that it appears that the bus link to the A6/A46 roundabout seems to have been cancelled, as it means that the 127 can't be run through the estate's centre.

Broadnook should be a no-brainer for a new bus route or two, not sure why Arriva's fumbling the bag here.

Fairham's lucky to have a bus route already going through it.

No doubt it will get some section 106 funding running a 30 mins service down the A6 into Leicester similar to how Thorpebury does.

Although if/when Broadnook needs a bus service I'd say extending the PR3(303) to/from the P&R site at Birstall would be best.

At the moment it is just a handful of houses, most of which are still probably empty, and a lot of building works so there isn't a market for Arriva to hit and installing bus stops in locations like that need to be done in partnership with the council (the road layout the 127 takes past the estate makes sighting a stop difficult due to roundabouts and road layout). The developers will be funding a bus connection that actually goes into the estate, just as Thorpebury does, and details will emerge once enough houses have been built and sold to activate the funding for it. It is unlikely that Arriva would want to divert the 127 round such a large estate as it would just require extra resource and make the through travel from the main markets for the route in Rothley & Mountsorrell really unattractive.

Someone on Bustimes seems to think Arriva Derby 1124 (RX18 LNR) has moved to Luton. Still in Derby on 5th September 2025.

Can confirm, buses now serve Loughborough Road in both directions. The new bus stop on Loughborough Road opposite the existing stop is currently marked with a "temporary stop" sign.

Having lost 3707/3715 to Tamworth & 3726/47 to Telford & then the remaining OmniCity/link withdrawals it was likely to leave them short.

2983 is due at Tamworth this weekend to replace an E300, all are due to be replaced before the years out (quite a shame as they’re lovely buses).

After a few weeks (unusually) of the 127 being able to stick to it's entire route without diversions, closures and temporary lights i see that the narrow bit of road in Rothley (from the Green to the brook) is closed for 5 days from next week. Presumable that'll mean single deckers only next week.

I've heard alot of people aren't happy about the 26 swapping onto the 4, lots of people getting on the wrong bus and accidentally going to alvaston.. Not heard much about the 20/1 onto x38s but atleast that has clearer distinction with it using different bays.

A friend loves the fact his 4 comes down to the bus station, as it saves a trek from Osmaston Road.

It's handy for a few people yeah, but I rarely see anyone using that section out of derby. However I've noticed a few using it into the bus station.

I definitely think the 26 going onto the 4 makes the least sense. Having it connect onto a chad route would of made more sense like it previously was, especially since in the evening and on Sundays it connects onto Chad routes anyway

I think the interworking is primarily to utilise the use of fewer vehicles rather than provide any worthwhile connection.

X38 operated independently would need 3 buses, and would have a long layover.

Have to agree, I wasn't keen when the E300s first turned up because of how scruffy they were, but they are lovely to travel on.

Still no sign on the electric deckers at Tamworth though, the diesel E400s are getting into an awful state now.
