Ah fair enough. Standard Mess Room rubbish then haha.No asbestos insulation was used in new stock after 1967 ,derby built early Mk2 s had it but they would have been the last , the 313 body shell was sprayed with colset
507s had a green tartan fabric , we had loads of surplus, covered benches etc all over site
RAIL says no.Will they stick the BR branding? Like that we get to see a return of the BR grey livery although the fully white doors look weird.
I think the white doors look good. The thing that doesn't is the grey band being truncated compared with the original which reaches the cab door (almost).

overheard that the translators were broken, and the backup's were also broken. there was talk of a GN 313 being involved at willesden and dragging back to lovers, but was decided against as the AC circuits had not been tested since decommissioning, and although theoretically they should work it didn't want to be risked. however if the unit was not ready to go by the christmas shutdown it was staying there until next year.
The Great Northern units regularly operate in multiple to/from MoorgateDo 313s work in multiple anywhere on a normal basis?
Pretty much all day every day on Great Northern, not sure about the Southern units though.Do 313s work in multiple anywhere on a normal basis?
I believe that the interior is still the same; though I'm not 100% on that one.I think it looks Ok, but I prefer our railways to have that modern feel to them.
Is the interior the same?

As a rule I prefer trains to have modern liveries; though I was quite disappointed when unit 4001 on the Tyne & Wear Metro lost the original Tyne & Wear PTE livery that it had carried since 1975. That livery suited it much better than the current one! I'm going off topic now though.
Would I be right in thinking that all the other Southern 313s will return in Southern livery?
I thought that might be the case. I'm actually quite surprised that this one has a retro liveryI believe so yes
It is to commemorate twenty years of company service I believe.I thought that might be the case. I'm actually quite surprised that this one has a retro livery
