Do you mean the move to contactless payments?

I was surprised to find I can't buy any e-tickets between Penshurst and Guildford. The ticket is routed via Gomshall. Is this due to: 1. Fraud prevention 2. Southeastern, who price the tickets, not being interested in e-tickets (even though they are now publicly owned) 3. An oversight 4...

It didn't work fine previously but it was better than tbe replacement.

It may be there but earlier this week I posted, formerly known as tweeted, on X, formerly known as Twitter, National Rail Enquiries and SWR to say the main heat related disruption notice said there was no weather related disruption on South Western Railway and I asked if it could be corrected...

The old NRE app still allows one to undertake train planning. I am not sure what the new app offers over the website, but I have just installed the TrainSplit app, unaware it did live deaptures. I use to have thr TatinSplot app but it wasn't as good as the website, so I installed it. I also...

I am off to Morecambe tomorrow. Will be on 11:46 from London Euston. Will be interesting to see how the journey goes.

My first recognition of this occurring was on 10 July. I got to Guildford station and noticed a train I wanted to catch was skipping Woking. I then found all trains but one an hour were skipping Woking at that time of the day. There was no disruption notice. So I put a post on X to SW_Help...

It would be a shame if the class action failed. Whilst I never was impacted, I am convinced by the arguments that it should not have happened.

I am travelling from Morecambe to Haywards Heath on 10 August, but I will have a ticket that covers me from Clapham Junction to Haywards Heath. As I can use contactless from London Euston to reach Clapham Junction, I looked up travel to London Euston. When I do a general search from 08:00, I...

I have also just noticed that the 17:02 service to Guildford will no longer contain first class in the timetable. Only standard class. Currently 3 services terminating or passing through Guildford, and also stopping at one or more stations between Surbtion and West Byfleet have first class...

Back in the noughties, they closed access to the footbridge after 10 pm and all day Sundays. At the time I didn't know about the planning right. Whilst it may only be slightly slower to get into town. It took much longer to reach platform 8 and that was my main objection. I imagine there is no...

I had an update but my report to delete one post caused them all to be deleted I guess I confused someone. Anyway, Transport for Wqles are aware of the issue. As it stands some days are loaded but other days are not and it doesn't seem to be chronological. I am fairly certain that Avanti...

I can get a ticket for Fishguard to Rosslare on Trainsplit. Return total cost is £124.80. This is for 22 June to 27 June. However, after the 10 hour journey to get to Rosslare, it is another 5-6 hour journey on top to reach Drogheda. Whilst I am sure it is a lovely journey, it is a lot of...

Thank you for the information. It makes sense now, as I suspected there might be an issue. I will continue to check daily for any changes. I hopefully will secure a reasonable accommodation price if tickets become available. More broadly, it would be helpful if a note could be added somewhere...

Hi everyone, I was looking to travel from Guildford to Dublin using RailSail from Monday 22nd June until Friday or Saturday (26th or 27th). Are RailSail tickets quota-controlled? I can still get foot passenger tickets from Holyhead, but can't find any RailSail tickets for sale. The cost of the...

One of my friends is bemoans the higher rail fares vers bus and I always explain successive governments want passengers to pay more. Bus fares don't take into account road repair costs as much as train fares do, is my understanding. I guess the same argument applies to the rail card. If they...

Does anyone know why Camden Town is not on the list of cross-london tube stations as there is an out of station interchange with Camden Road. Is it due to the station being considered to small for entries and exits? I was looking up a perticular ticket and route and the Trainsplit booking site...

As someone who is dyslexic, I find it harder to work out the hidden meaning in generic questions. So one that refers to an experience similar to driving a train wouldn't make me think of dealing with children but would lead me down a transport themed path. A train driver does have lots of...

Thanks. 1747011616 I have now worked out a longer route that involves going down, up, down, up, down and the final down isn't via the fastest route down either but all permitted on the ticket as no double back occurs. I wasn't in this case looking at this journey to start short in London and...

Thanks for confirming this. Question answered.
