Is it possible to download the routeing guide maps?

Is it possible to download the routeing guide maps? I find using the maps on my phone more awkward, so I'd like to download them so I can display them in Google Maps app. Then I could display two maps at once in different colours or even more. Tonight I am taking a longer permitted route home...

Interesting Delay Repay refusal - GTR contend Travelcard season not valid if tap in was after scheduled departure time of train

Could OP ask customer services if a train is delayed do they want hundreds of passengers on the station concourse? If they say no then raise what happened. If they are going to be delayed another time and they know staff don't want them on the platform, have all the e-mails to hand and the...

When did a steam engine, other than in test runs, travel at over 100 mph?

Thanks. That's interesting. I assume the Flying Scotsman would have done in 1968 but would any others after that?

When did a steam engine, other than in test runs, travel at over 100 mph?

My apologies if this has been asked before. Apart from the Tornado test runs, when was the last time a steam locomotive ran over 75 mph? I don't mean slightly over by accident but up to or above 100 mph, for example. I wondered this after watching an excellent documentary on the 1968 attempt...

[Trivia] How many stations still have wooden platforms?

What is platform 1 of Tulse Hill made of? It has anti slip boards on it, and I feel they could do with repairs as they are uneven. I was there on Friday.

[Trivia] How many stations still have wooden platforms?

And current standards would surely be based on safety but obviously also accessibility.

[Trivia] How many stations still have wooden platforms?

If wood is perfectly safe, could they build new station platforms made of wood?

    PlusBus Tickets

I used my first PlusBus eTicket on Wednesday in Brighton. I got it from trip.com as I get a 4% discount on my rail ticket. Although the rail ticket can be added to Google Wallet, they don't offer the ability to add the plusbus to the Google Wallet First bus driver hadn't seen one before but...

    Brighton Mainline 4G/5G upgrades

I wonder how many of them want decent mobile phone reception?

    National Routeing Guide update

One way to find out would be to try and use the chepatest ticket possible, that use to be valid but technically isn't now, whilst also holding a separate valid fare, in case it does all go wrong and they suddenly want to penalty fare you.

Paper One Day Bus & Tram Pass withdrawn

Well that is one way to get out of date information removed from the National Rail Enquiry Web site.

[Trivia] How many stations still have wooden platforms?

Thanks for that. I didn't do a brief search on platform wooden but nothing showed up in the first page or so. I guess to far back in time. For all I know I read that thread at the time.

[Trivia] How many stations still have wooden platforms?

A colleague commented that he was surprised more wooden platforms hadn't caught fire from a spark off the third rail or someone starting a fire in some way. It then got me thinking about cinders from steam engines back in the day.
