I'm also not fully convinced it saves much time compared to taking the road bridge, there's probably some time saving based on not having to wait for a space between traffic but that's about it. Probably quicker if you're going across the river to the Odeon but otherwise time savings are...
It wasn't the bridge that was struck, it was a broadband/telecom box at the side of the road by the mini-roundabout (unless there's been a different car crash there recently)
Again, I don't think it's right SWR close the footbridge to public access but normally you can pass people safely...
I've walked over it loads of times and it's completely fine. It's not especially narrow and traffic is normally so congested round there the risk is phenomenally small. There doesn't need to be any separation when cars are barely capable of the 30mph limit.
I don't think they should close it to...
They run a lot of routes that are lifelines for the communities they serve. If they were a business they wouldn't be doing that. But if you think you can do better then feel free to try, good luck...
If that's the case why aren't they being investigated? They seem perfectly fine, once again...
Compass run the 261, but I wouldn't be surprised if the 3 Regency B9TLs allocated to the 54 currently transfer to Metrobus after the route becomes the 500. Not necessarily for the 500, but the rest of the batch is already with Metrobus and those 3 probably would be too if they didn't take over...
Correct, no clue when it's starting but from what i've heard it'll run out of Crawley, although some duties will be staffed by B&H's Eastbourne depot.

It will indeed replace the 54 and 261 as stated by the ESCC in the above...

I was on this Thameslink service between Gatwick and Brighton a few weekends ago and (despite there only being 2tph running between Three Bridges and Brighton due to the Cambridge line being closed due to...
Are you sure? The depot and Truronian itself are being sold to Go-Ahead, unless solely the Flixbus vehicles are staying in Cornwall and being outstationed somewhere this doesn't make sense, First aren't going to run a contract at a Go-Ahead owned company.
As far as I can tell GTR is the only thing run by Govia, as Govia is a joint venture between Go-Ahead and Keolis, so when GTR gets nationalised Govia probably won't exist anymore. Quite possibly will get renamed tbh but if it isn't it probably wouldn't cause issues because Govia's sole function...
It then operated the 2V45 Waterloo-Waterloo via Hounslow. No longer on that diagram though, currently awaiting departure on the 18:43 to Shepperton, if it keeps on that diagram it'll be running Shepperton services through this evening.
Which makes it even more interesting that there isn't an official recall this time. So maybe they're just examining them all as a precaution, if so then they won't be out of service for too long you'd hope.
Yeah that sounds about right, I think that's also where the 64xx vehicles went when they were out of service last year too.
Hopefully the lack of a formal recall means they're just doing some checks, but was there a recall for the 64xx vehicles when they went out of service?
I believe they're all running out of Crawley, the Hydrogen vehicles have all left. Not sure where exactly, I heard someone say they're at Pimperne with GSC, but another said they're in Oxfordshire so who knows? But they have been seen leaving the depot so I don't think they're there currently.
