Brighton & Hove / Metrobus Discussion

Not really, it's a 13 year old vehicle that failed in a heatwave, vehicles do break down occasionally.

12 are due for Guildford to replace all 12 E300s at the depot, primarily for use on Route 34. Also quite a few (likely 8 if replacing like-for-like) are due for Worthing for Route 17 so the SN69 E200MMCs currently running the route can return to Basingstoke (except 26297/298 which have already...

Correct it interworks with the 231/233, which now run out of Copthorne (alongside the 280) by the way.

Not sure but 6 of the new vehicles have already been delivered.

Passengers stranded after being let off train for fresh air

This was done far better by the GWR guard on a Reading-Gatwick service today that was stuck at Guildford for about 40 minutes while emergency services treated someone who'd jumped off Farnham Road Bridge onto the tracks. We weren't even explicitly told we were allowed to leave the train but of...

No idea, by the sounds of things they don't have a paintshop there, only a body shop to do prep work for paint (which is presumably why 6986 is there). the E200s aren't getting done, they'll be withdrawn soon.

B&H doesn't have a paintshop currently. Combined with the current priority being repainting the ex Regency Coaches and Southdown PSV fleets, this does explain why things are going pretty slowly.

    Hulley's of Baslow (Defunct)

There were quite. Few yeah, mostly over Summer 2024. During the period you're referring to 2 Solos were also sold to Hulleys.

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

It's incredibly baffling. I'm also not quite sure how they seem to be making a loss on these routes when every other big operator with an open-top fleet certainly seems able to weather the cost of storage for 6 months. First can too, it's pocket money for them.

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

Absolutely love how their solution to low-utilisation of open-top deckers in the off-season is to make the off-season even longer and only use them for a month... Genius.

Brighton & Hove / Metrobus Discussion

The shortages are mostly down to the short Hydroliners at Metrobus being VOR for modifications, but by that time most of the previous fleet for Fastway route 100 was sent for scrap (reducing the active daily fleet by 12-ish), all while needing additional vehicles at Copthorne to cover vehicle...

Brighton & Hove / Metrobus Discussion

Actually for the most part Metrobus has just brought back into service previously withdrawn vehicles (specifically Fastway omnicities, 6626/9 / YN08DFL/U and ex-Southdown dart 6324/LK55ADZ), they also have YX24PDO on loan (either from ADL or Go South Coast) which replaced an ex Crawley vehicle...

BML closed between Gatwick Airport and East Croydon (various routes) on 12 January

I mean they're not doing this for fun though are they? It's closed for 24 hours.

TfGM Bee Network - fleet discussion

It just turned on once then came off again, so it's just someone turning on the ticket machine (and judging by the location it looks to be Hyde Road).

Andover are receiving 3 of the E400MMCs, on another group a few days back someone suggested the other 2 were headed for Chichester although not entirely sure why. Andover also has 3 tridents so i'm assuming at least 2 of those will be going...
