They were fully coupled togeather like any normal dmu, 57 314 was also in crewe so may be did pull them. I was aware that the 3 normal carrage units had been used to make all 221's 5 car, Just thort it a bit stange to see it in a station platform when i thort they were in storage as back up...

I live in a top floor apartmernt about 2 miles from the Marches Line and when I have my windows open I hear all the trains: 150, 153, 175 and 57's.

While traveling around Greater Manchester yesterday on a day ranger I noticed that some stations that dont have any Virgin services had the small black VT STOP signs on the platforms. 2 stations I noticed them at were Manchester Oxford Road and Bolton, any one know why ? Cheers.
