Clapham Junction Spotting.

Hi all, Im after a bit of advice of spotting at Clapham Junction.

Taking advantage of the LM great escape and heading down south.

Never been Clapham junction before so any advise on spotting locations and what platforms you can get all unit numbers from, and also if the station is spotter friendly or not.

It's a very spotter-friendly station in my experience - I've never had a hint of trouble while collecting numbers and taking photographs.

I find the best place for seeing as much as possible is at the town end of platform 9/10 or 11/12. Any units in the depot can generally be viewed from the bridge.

In the afternoons you do also see the odd freight every hour or so comimg through platform 16 or 17, if that's your sort of thing

I think P7 and 8 are good choices too as you're not likely to be disturbed there and you wouldn't get in anyones way. Just don't look as if you're suicidal though as there are "sucide watch" staff
