I would be interested to find out details of the above traffic such as materials carried and destinations. On a recent visit to the area I saw 3 trains in one day which I believe were heading to and from a facility south of Rang de Fliers. Two were headed by class 66's in EWS livery.

Does anyone know why a stub of the Alton line survives just outside Basingstoke. I have seen a photo of disused track and buffer stops in a tree lined setting - is this still connected to the main line? Thanks
