Does the fact very few if any Tory MPs in areas Southern trains run through lost their seat. Show that the railway is very low down on most people's agenda?
Or does it show that the Government/DFT did a very good job of distancing themselves from the dispute?
If it is true Thameslink only tickets are valid on Southern and Gatwick Express trains as well. Is there a case for a holders of Any Permitted season tickets to take a class action law suit? Because they have paid more than they should do?
I looked up a ticket on BR fares site with Priv discount applied and a discounted ticket was listed. When I enquired at the ticket office the staff advised me Priv was not applicable to the ticket in question. Does this often happen?
Was the agreement for Scotrail to have a guaranteed 2nd person on the train because the government expect the next independence referendum to have a majority no vote? discuss

The Mcnulty report said the rail industry needed to save 30% in costs.
As an alternative how could income be increased by 30% (Not increasing ticket prices etc)
Just out of interest, how often do revenue staff set up a special rule on the ticket barriers, to monitor, reject tickets with a disabled railcard discount applied. I know they regularly do checks on 16-25 card and Network cards and similar regional based railcards.
There has been discussion regards Thameslink only tickets and whether they are valid on all of the GTR brand trains (Route permitting) because Thameslink, Southern, GatEX and GN are not TOCs in their own right, but brands of GTR.
Just a thought, say someone has a Thameslink only London...
I was thinking of getting the 4 in 8 spirit of scotland pass. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good itinerary please.
Many thanks in advance :D
What is the best option for a friend that needs to do the following journey?
I want an off-peak open return to Brockley, travelling on 8.48 from Lewes (first off-peak), breaking the journey at Croydon, so not arriving in Brockley till after 6pm. And returning the following day (also breaking...
Firstly I know this post will sound like sour grapes but I don't feel that way I just want to give my view.
I went for a trainee driver's job last year and past all of the 'practical' parts of the assessment process. I then past a line manager interview and from the feedback was told by HR...
I care about doing a good job for the passengers and working well as a team member. I try to keep abreast of recent developments. However it seems you are more likely to progress if you are a perfunctory disinterested person who can spin a good yarn than if you actually want to do a good job all...
I asked this on another thread but being impatient thought I would start another one. :D So one of the questions is about an achievement or a course that was over 2 weeks. I was wondering if an open university module is acceptable. I would have thought it was, but I saw someone say it is not...
A friend is going from Doncaster to Penrith.
Then to Lewes a few days later stopping in Wolverton for a couple of hours.
Is the best option an Off Peak Return from Lewes to Penrith? It looks as though via Doncaster is a valid route from Lewes to Penrith and via Wolverton is valid from...
