Scotrail approved two delay repay claims I raised in January last week and emailed me a link to a form to input my bank details for the refund to be processed. I'm happy the link is legitimate but every time I click on it, all that happens is my browser redirects to the scotrail.co.uk homepage...
Scotrail have released this today as part of the planning for the (re)opening for stations at Cameron Bridge and Leven.

Hello all,
I've had cause to travel on an Avanti service from Edinburgh to Wigan with an advance ticket between Inverness and Liverpool. The 1212 TPE service was cancelled due to a lack of a guard and TPE advised I should travel on the 1252 Avanti service as far as Wigan and then to change...
I am looking at booking this journey through the Scottish Citylink website. This may seem like a daft question, but is your ferry fare included in the price paid to Citylink? The fare is only £28 so seems awfully cheap if it does but I can't find an answer on Stena Line or Citylink's website...
Hello all, I hope all of us are keeping well during these most strange times.
It seems almost churlish to ask this, but as I'm self-isolating and have finished all the household chores I can think of, I might as well!
I have an advance ticket from Euston to Glasgow on the 1030 departure on...
I've been seeing this recently on tickets I've bought from the ScotRail website where the route would have been "any permitted". Is there a reason for this changing? The full stop prints on the tickets too where the route would normally appear.
The attached screenshot shows an extract from a...
Does it go to Rail Delivery Group to fund whatever it is they do? Get shared out to the TOCs using ORCATS? Network Rail? Staff Christmas party funds?
Also, is there a difference in who gets the cash if it's a local railcard as opposed to a national railcard?
Just curious!
I hold one of these and it has saved me the £9 fee many times over. I was under the impression that I could use it to get a 50% discount on tickets between Inverness-Kyle/Wick and Glasgow Queen Street (GLQ)-Oban/Fort William (FTW)/Mallaig.
I have tried to book a single between FTW and GLQ on...
It's been a while since my last visit to Elgin and these have appeared between the lines at the station. There is a temporary speed restriction just after the station when travelling to Inverness but I've no idea if the two are related.
I hold an off-peak return from Inverness (INV) to Thurso (THS), I now need to start the return leg from Wick (WCK) an INV-WCK off-peak return is the same price as the ticket I hold.
Is there any way round this at a ticket office short of buying a WCK-INV single or asking the guard nicely...
Image reads:
"17:13 Kyle Of Lochalsh to Elgin due 20:47 will be cancelled.
This is due to a fault on this train.
Additional Information:
We've got a D&Es coach running in place of this service today. It'll depart Kyle of Lochalsh at 17:13 and call all stops to Elgin. There's a few stops...

The Scotsman obviously looking for hits with the headline, but I think there's merit in David Spaven's comments.
I travel through Huntly quite a bit but never had reason to alight there until recently when I noticed this quite charming wee sign at the exit to the station. I can't say I've seen one elsewhere - is it one of a kind?

Is this my long lobbied for dualling and electrification finally taking place ?
Does anyone know what the work entails? Quite a long closure so I'm assuming quite a lot
I can't think of a reason why not but their website only mentions buying them via their website or over the phone (https://www.sleeper.scot/index.php/faq-buying-tickets) so I'd rather not trail down to the station to use my RTVs to be told no.
As a bit of back-story, I'm going to be flying to Washington DC next year, Dublin-Heathrow-Washington and the reverse on the return and thanks to British Airways' recent "ex-Dublin" sale I'll be saving over £2,000 on the normal fare from Heathrow to Washington.
I would like to get to Dublin...
