I'm in London tomorrow and staying with a friend in Langley (Berks). The National Rail portal indicates that some trains are replaced with RRS to Ealing Broadway. Is it quicker / cheaper to go to Ealing Broadway by tube (given I will have Oyster of some sort - will get on the day).
Also is...
Anyone like the look of cl380 - the new 4car and 3car EMU from Siemens for the Ayrshire, Inverclyde and Glasgow Airport rail lines. The current rolling stock - cl 334 and 318 will be cascaded within the Scotrail franchise to cover the opening of the Airdrie-Bathgate line...
Manchester Control Log from Wednesday 14th May 2008
Control log removed on request
So 4-5 trains damaged, huge delays and multiple cases of trespass. Great night eh.........
Tonight, there was a 'total' signal failure between Winchburgh and Linlithgow on the Edinburgh-Glasgow route. It occurred at 2030ish, for the third time in a week, all supposedly weather related. I was on the 2300 ex Edinburgh...and this is where the story starts...FSR played a blinder tonight...
Yes, but one and FGW are a mixed route with intercity, interurban and suburban routes. FSR is primarily interurban and suburban trains, in fairly segregated groupings.
On Thursday I was due to catch the 1903 VWC service from Birmingham - Glasgow. This was advertised as a Voyager
Upon arriving at BHM at 1840 (my LM connection had been late) I went to the indicated platform (5), to see a Pendolino standing there. I tried to find a member of staff to check that...
Some FSR drivers seem to have decided not to work Sunday's at the moment - last week a few services were canceled, and this week a late (Saturday afternoon) announcement was issued about cancellations on the Glasgow-Cumbernauld (until 4pm), Glasgow Central-Edinburgh routes (this was important...
I know that few services run on Saturday nights at this time (mostly freight and the London area 24hr services I imagine) but just wondered how timetables, and things like WTT deal with the additional hour tonight (and the loss in March) - are the times entered manually, or does a computer...
Some of you might have seen that a hole opened up under the tracks at Northumberland Park on the Tyne & wear metro last week. being from that area, and visiting relatives at the weekend, I got this photo - the sainsbury''s car park proving to be a rather well appointed viewing area. The hole is...
Ok, the situation is that my Creative Muvo 1GB mp3 player has, after 3 years of sterling service and appalling treatment decided to go belly-up.
Thus with no budget (well you know what I mean) I need something new.
Never really looked at iPod's before, but they seem to be fairly reliable. I...
When FGW get rid of the Adelante's, what would be the chances of them ending up on Hull Trains and TPE as a joint fleet, with a further cascade of Sprinters from TPE. The Pioneers go to EMT, who then cascade the same number of HST to FGW.....
and so the merry-go-round goes on.
If you select the GNER HST skin/theme for 1024x76...the GNEr logo appears reversed.
I assume this is due to the photo used and that you want all the trains traveling from screen right to screen left?
