    Scotrail/Abellio wait time on jobs.

Still not heard back from the apprenticeship one, considering just leaving it. This is the 3rd time I’ve applied and heard nothing back.

Examples of unusual calling patterns amongst regular services

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but the 10:40 Glasgow Central to Euston calls randomly at Rugby, rather than running non stop from Warrington to Euston.

Do they have any specific email I could use? Or phone number please?

Examples of unusual calling patterns amongst regular services

You could easily electrify and add on a new platform at West Kilbride, with the Glasgow service changing tracks at Hunterston Junction. Ardrossan South Beach is a bigger issue, as there is a park right opposite the train station. A new platform at South Beach would also means trains wouldn't...

Examples of unusual calling patterns amongst regular services

Kilwinning is a busy station, especially off peak. I do feel that the Kilwinning - Largs section should get another train, as Largs trains are relatively busy.

Examples of unusual calling patterns amongst regular services

This service would actually be really good if it was still running, Kilwinning gets a lot of Glasgow trains in the morning now.

    Scotrail/Abellio wait time on jobs.

I’ve went for the apprenticeship post, and I’m wondering if I need to chase it up, then who should I contact for it?

I know it was before 2015, unsure when it finished

ScotRail really are bad with their HR, it’s hit or miss if you get a response

Examples of unusual calling patterns amongst regular services

From Glasgow it is Paisley to Irvine, but on the inbound from Ayr it was oddly Irvine then Glengarnock.

    Scotrail/Abellio wait time on jobs.

Might not be the case now, someone who works as catering out of Queen Street came from Saltcoats, which is about 35 minutes train and about an hours drive.

Believe there was also a morning peak Ayr service which skipped Kilwinning too. Abolished years ago I believe.

Honestly, I've tried applying for them too, they are absolute dog**** at replying. They never really do. Just do what I do and keep trying. Go for every vacancy you can.

    TPE Dispatch Farce at York

I think ScotRail staff do Glasgow & Edinburgh as they also dispatch Desiros.

Services which ought to have a refreshment trolley

It does look like a struggle on the highland mainline where it is extremely bumpy, 170s really aren't catering friendly

Services which ought to have a refreshment trolley

I don't see how taking it through a 170 really is a risk, ScotRail catering do it just fine.

Arriva Rail North Timetable/Travel Advice on Strike Days

Witnessed that myself at Preston, came from Scotland to change for Manchester. Decided not to bother as I had limited time and no way was I getting that train. Surely 1tph via Bolton from Preston would do something.

Services which ought to have a refreshment trolley

The trolley service actually does really well past Kilmarnock, especially when going north. Since Stranraer is medium distance, they may aswell try it.

Services which ought to have a refreshment trolley

I'd say Glasgow/Kilmarnock/Ayr - Stranraer could do with it, it's a journey of roughly 2 hrs 40 from Glasgow, 2 hours from Kilmarnock and 90 minutes from Ayr, it also gets very busy between Ayr & Stranraer. Carlisle gets it so maybe Stranraer should also. I can imagine it would pick up a bit of...
