    Class 314 Withdrawals

Im surprised they haven’t withdrawn 314205 yet, it looks an absolute mess.

    Class 314 Withdrawals

I’m surprised they haven’t put on some 8 coach 380 workings, some services from Ayrshire in the morning peak are heavily filled. Even with 6 or 7 coaches.

    Class 314 Withdrawals

Is that because there aren't enough 385s to go around?

    Class 314 Withdrawals

Must be. It is still rather strange seeing 320s on Canal and 385s going through Paisley. Also noticed a 380 on a Shotts line service this morning too, is that a booked service?

    Class 314 Withdrawals

There is also a carmine and a saltire sitting in shields as a 6 car formation.

    Class 314 Withdrawals

Oddity noticed today, 1242 Paisley Canal went off of 9 and was formed of a 320/4. Also 2 Carmine 314s out today, one unidentified and the other being 314205.

    Class 314 Withdrawals

Something I’ve never noticed is anything using Platform 5. It seems to be heavily un-used until peak.

    Class 314 Withdrawals

Paisley Canal seems to have a habit of almost always using Platform 12, Largs and Ardrossan seem to be common of 13 & 15, rarely seen one going off 14. Barrhead seems to normally use Platform 11 as well.

    Class 314 Withdrawals

On weekdays 1K15 (09:31 Glasgow to Ayr) is booked to go off of Platform 1 same with 1A16 (09:43 Glasgow to Kilmarnock). There are also some Edinburgh services which use P1/2 in the weekday morning. Presumably because there aren't many VT services arriving from the south.

    Kilmarnock to Girvan - Catering

That is abysmal. I can't see there being a trolley service once all the refurbs are done.

    Kilmarnock to Girvan - Catering

I heard that on the refurb HSTs, there was supposed to be a first class host, someone in the buffet and someone on the trolley. Are they scaling it back to just a first class host and trolley?

    Kilmarnock to Girvan - Catering

That seems like a bad move on ScotRail's part, was it a contract thing or have they genuinely laid them off?

    Kilmarnock to Girvan - Catering

I have noticed that about the later services, they are normally very empty past Dumfries.

    Kilmarnock to Girvan - Catering

Is that the reason why some Saturday services are running without a trolley? From experience it's the 08:37 from Glasgow and 19:20 off Carlisle. I was also going to suggest Ayr, but with the ongoing hotel situation there isn't much room for it. Stranraer could also be an option but it would...

    Kilmarnock to Girvan - Catering

I think for the Glasgow Central base, they use the area where TransPennine keep their catering, (I think it's the lift at Platform 7).

    Kilmarnock to Girvan - Catering

I've always thought there would be a case for bringing the trolley back on the Stranraer service, as it is really well used. But given the current situation at Ayr, would they be able to have a catering depot there, or would it need to be Kilmarnock?
  17. Scotrail314209

    Kilmarnock to Girvan - Catering

The trolley can be very hit and miss on when it is provided on Carlisle trains, the 8:37 on a Saturday and 19:something return didn’t have any trolley service. Although I think we are getting away from the topic as catering has never been provided on any Girvan or Stranraer service, so with it...

    380s on the Ayr Line

One of the really annoying things about Sunday services on the Ayrshire coast is that the hourly service from Largs is only 3 carriages most of the day, results in slight crowding as that is the only train to run between Largs & Kilwinning with the exception of the limited Ardrossan Harbour service.

    Kilmarnock to Girvan - Catering

Hey all, I was looking on ScotRail Journey Check and it is saying that there is a catering service on the 08:01 Kilmarnock to Girvan (arriving 08:55), is this an error or is it a new thing they are trialling. Would've thought a trolley service would've been more appropriate on the Stranraer...

    Scotrail/Abellio wait time on jobs.

Where do I begin... It's mainly just general questions can't really remember off the top of my head (and god damn there is alot!).
