On problem is if they use the old route it will not serve Barnoldswick. Its the only sizeable place between Skipton and Colne. Barnoldswick was on a dead end branch.

    Rail Network for the North

There must be a size of TOC thats too large to manage. I think a Northern/TPE mega TOC would fall into that category. Tho splitting off the North East into a small TOC may be worth considering if a Northern/TPE TOC was being considered.

Best advice I got on the course was to be in an appropriate gear. Too high a gear and the car will try to run away with you. I suppose in an automatic you dont drive all the time in D but use the 2 and 1 positions but I never asked cos I dont have an automatic. Its been a good bit of advice...

    Class 455 & 456 - Why pipes and jumpers?

Think it was a bit of 'staying with what you know' from the southern region. But surely there is a risk that someone uncouples, but does not disconnect the jumpers, and the front is ripped of a unit.

    Destination Blinds - a question

Thats assuming they are in alphabetical order. Not all bus blinds were, to reduce winding. And the blinds were changed when buses changed depots so often were quite short, just the destinations served by that depot. Borrowed buses resorted to sticky labels.

When I have been on a bus through Addingham they have been fairly busy; Optare Solo busy, not double decker busy. But you see many Keighley bus co double deckers in Ilkley.

Trivia: Routes Still Every Ten Minutes Or Better

I thought that but the OP disallowed that scenario in post #1 PerhAps we need another thread of roads that have a lot of buses but different numbers. Roads like the A660 out of Leeds through Headingley. I think there are 7 routes between Merrion Centre and West Park off the top of my head.

Dont know much you bus guys follow the railway forums but the railway has a problem getting the grid connections. Yes I know the electrical connections to charge buses is less than rail electrification but may still be an issue.
