    Merseyrail Class 777 introduction updates

The whole situation has been farcical from the start, that could write a sitcom on it. The 777s should have been in service since 2020 however, the dispute with the unions over the use of guards (then covid) put paid to that, that dispute was only settled last January. Since introduction...

Their is, the 24 hour 285 Kingston - Heathrow, & follows most of the SL7 route, main difference to the routes are Kingston to Teddington & in Feltham, & 285 takes anything from 50 to 70 minutes end to end.

Rolling stock which is "stored" at a station platform overnight.

Very common on Merseyrail, units are stabled overnight at New Brighton, Rock Ferry & Southport, plus one unit is stabled overnight at Hooton.

Agreed, SL6 will have buses doing one single journey, as only the first 2 buses each peak operate the last 2 journey's Here's a link to the TFL site for the working timetable for the SL6 https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/bus-schedules?Query=sl6

    Liverpool Stations

Not really, Lime Street to James Street is still a bit of a hike (at least it's downhill though), it'll take about 10 to 15 minutes to walk it for those not familiar with the route, & that's without heavy luggage.

Stagecoach Merseyside Cheshire and South Lancashire

The location function doesn't work even if you just type in just 3 letters, why can't Stagecoach site take you go to the region you want, like the First Bus site does? Oh cheers for that map, it's the one i was trying to find.

No stations between Stockport & Navigation Road: could this change?

That is correct, before Metrolink, trains on the Mid Cheshire Line ran direct route from Altrincham to Manchester via Old Trafford, when Metrolink was up & trains on the Mid Cheshire Line was diverted via Stockport. The line through Northenden was used by freight, but passenger trains diverted...

No it's not, there's a large area of Upper Norwood (Beulah Hill, & Whitehorse Road) which the X68 serves and is quite some distance from the nearest stations. The X68s are well loaded too, often full by the time they leave West Norwood or Waterloo. X68s provide a faster alternative to & from...

10 years in prison for forgetting to renew a railcard?

Because it's not a 3rd party's job to check when railcards are expiring, it's up to the railcard holder to check their railcard expiry date.

Public consultation on Liverpool Bus Franchising is launched

I've been using the 1, X1 quite often lately & they're always busy through Ellesmere Port, not just with local Ellesmere Port passengers either, cutting them to Ellesmere Port - Liverpool makes no sense, Cheshire Oaks is popular destination too for the 1, X1.

Trivia : improved/new services since covid

319 Kirkby - Skelmersdale introduced last January under Trainlink brand, not sure if it's funded by Merseytravel or Lancashire County Council, but operated by Stagecoach. T8 Chester - Corwen via Mold & Ruthin, introduced last January.

    London Buses Discussion

Yep, the current X68 timetable will still be applied to the SL6, which is going to make it tricky to do all Superloop routes in a day, might be able to do it by using some of the 24 hour Superloop routes, need to do an early start.

    London Buses Discussion

Hmmm i feel a challenge coming on when i visit London & all the Superloop routes are operating, the only tricky one will be SL6, the replacement for X68, & shame SL4 isn't connecting with any other Superloop route either.
