    Closed/Under Threat Stations Watchlist

Gainsborough Central does have an hourly service to Sheffield via Retford.

    Closed/Under Threat Stations Watchlist

I agree, mostly :) But then stations like Brigg could surely support a better service? I fear I may be going down a rabbit hole, and it's not to take away from your excellent points.

London North Eastern Railway (LNER) First Class service

And the service was excellent. I am sure they are feeders, the Newcastle crew- were offering everyone the pudding, even those who'd had one. In a moment of self discipline I declined.

    Wareham - Cambridge

I was going to suggest the via Barnham trick which I use to go from Dorchester to East Croydon... but it doesn't help when going north of ECR.

London North Eastern Railway (LNER) First Class service

This was the food I had from Inverness to Kings Cross on LNER. I was really impressed. Toast would have been nice :) Roast chicken with roast potatoes, wilted greens with a sherry and shallot sauce. Date and sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel sauce.

    Closed/Under Threat Stations Watchlist

Is it weird that the stations in the list above have a skeleton -or no- service, while in Scotland at request stops like Altnabreac and Scotscalder they are installing tech to assist passengers and operations... https://scotlandsrailway.com/news/further-request-stop-kiosks-added-on-far-north-line

I can't remember ever having a ticket checked on Thameslink, and they serve ungated stations.

    Grand Central e-tickets

I couldn't change a Virgin Trains eticket. Thought it was very sneaky as it wasn't for a specific train, just the day. I'll stick to paper.

    Caledonian Sleeper discussion

I find some of the Inverness crew to be very overbearing and smug. They have slagged off the London crew to me repeatedly. My issue being that I've found the London crew to be amazing.

Cheapest way to acquire a Gold Card, 2017 fares?

Just looking at the Exeter options - any reason why there are multiple options like "VALID TUESDAYS, THURSDAYS AND WEEKENDS ONLY", which doesn't seem like a typical gold card?

    Belfast Anytime Day Single Query

You can get them in Northern Ireland from most staffed stations, I think even on board staff can issue them
