    Ember: Electric coach service

Ember adding a 7th service between Inverness and Caithness from 14th October. Looks like some retimings, with four buses going to Thurso via Warren and Halkirk and three going via Castletown.

Sorry I replied to the wrong thread, the above should have been on my Dorchester Birmingham query.

    Dorchester to Birmingham

I did, I thought I had posted an edit that RailForums ticketing did it!

Ignore this. RailForums ticketing can do it!

    Dorchester to Birmingham

I am searching for trips to Birmingham using SWR and Cross Country. Apps all show a change at Southampton Central, but I'd rather join the Birmingham train at it's origin, Bournemouth. Can I book the fare offered, it's not split ticketing, and join the train at Bournemouth rather than...

Intriguing picture on Belfast pub wall

Looks like an artists impression of Dublin Connolly which has direct trains to Rosslare Harbour and Dun Loaghaire. Although those trains use the through platforms not seen here. Ignore all that. Just noticed it mentions travel to Ireland... I think it may be a generic advert with a fictional...

Trivia: Free bus routes that still exist today.

Lyme Regis Town Council's budget is huge. No idea why, or indeed how. The population is around 4000, obviously increased by tourists. Bridport, population around 14,000 has a lower budget. When Lyme Regis had to repay almost £1m for overcharging (for years) for outdoor seating licenses, they...

No First Class refund on GWR?

I am simply replying to someone who said nothing at all wrong with what RTT is showing. Using only offical sources how would a passenger find out what set ran on that date, and if it had first class or not?

No First Class refund on GWR?

    Misleading though.

No First Class refund on GWR?

I can't tell if there is the option for free text in the general refund section. Annoyingly, Real Time Trains shows the service as a two-coach 165, but also states "First & Standard class seating".

    Highland Chieftain Friday 4/9/26

My "generally" was doing a lot of heavy lifting there... :D

    Highland Chieftain Friday 4/9/26

I think people in the know, know that in disruption the INV train is generally prioritised, I have experienced disruption several times and we always left, even if late. The train is generally very quiet north of Edinburgh.

    British Airways

If you have status, Silver and above get free seat selection, Bronze free seven days before departure. And First class for all passengers regardless of status as mentioned above. They also do a thing called Theoretical Seating, where Gold members see seats that others do not, for example Row 1...

    Delay repay is it destructive?

It certainly isn't fit for purpose. On a trip to Scotland where I had to pay for an overnight hotel such was the delay, I received my fare and to be er, fair, the hotel. But nothing for the abject stress I was put through (arriving London at 00.15 instead of my planned 18.00), with a 12+ hour...

Are Paper Bus Timetables still in your area?

It is the first down here for two years after their pursued their digital only strategy, not realising how poor their app and website is.

Unpopular opinion: IETs are perfectly fine, for the most part.

On the subject of seats, the worst I have experienced are the Caledonian Sleeper ones. But they are cheap for the distance travelled!
