So do we know where Chiltern are parking these trains? Do they have room in their various depots for them?

Will do - something to wind the hours down.

Interesting. My office overlooks Birmingham Snow Hill station. The only trains I can ever ‘hear’ are 68’s. I always try and bag a desk by the window overlooking the north end of the station. Of course, I get stuck into work so head down. The only time a train comes to my attention is a 68 -...

Many thanks for this. Mind you, does raise a few more questions. It would be good to know what operational reasons are? And if they can allow a freight train through for 'operational reasons', why couldn't they allow passenger trains through on the same basis?

Buses in Banbury used to have Midland Red South, Railway Terrace, Rugby written in the side, obviously as back in the day, Banbury was in Midland Red territory. Now they all seem to say Thames Transit, Horspath Road, Oxford. Does anyone know why? Thanks.

I‘ve just got back to Banbury from Birmingham, after being caught out by the signalling failure at Banbury this evening. As we were held at Warwick, I saw on OpenTrainTimes there was a freight train in front of us, held at a red signal just outside Leamington Spa. I think it was 4O32 Hams Hall...

Interesting one. I thought the new building (Speedwell Street?) was an existing OCC office building, so assumed it was just being refurbished? Obviously a tad more than that then.

Thanks. Looking out of my window from the Snow Hill office it looks a tad tight. The Metro lines seem to skew towards the main line, which made wonder if the would have to be realigned.

In order to reinstate platform 4 at Birmingham Snow Hill, do the Midlands Metro lines need to be moved between St Chads and St Pauls, just north of Snow Hill station?

Is the multi-storey new? Just looked on Google Maps and it doesn't seem to be there.

Thanks. LOL, I don't know, turn your back for 5 minutes. I must admit I haven't been there for years - last time I went it was still the hard standing opposite the station, with the narrow spaces. Lucky to leave with your wing mirrors intact. That's set my mind at rest.

I need to go to Belfast later in the month, flying from Birmingham and staying overnight. One of my colleagues did the research and worked out that parking overnight at Birmingham International Station car park is a lot cheaper than parking overnight at Birmingham Airport car parks. Does...

I may have missed this, but why aren't TPE using these sets? Sounds like they were ordered for TPE, and possibly being used for a short while? So why the change of plan?

Many thanks - must be getting old - scary to think that 2010 is 15 years ago. I've had a look and it won't let me remove the outlook connection - when I go to remove the old connection I get to here and clicking Account Settings doesn't do anything...

Hi. I've use Outlook 2010 on my home PC. I've been using it quite happily for years. When I opened Outlook last week I got an error message saying it couldn't open my folders. When I look on the File tab I'm getting this... When I click on the 'Upgrade Now' button nothing happens. Any...

How long did Sinfin Central in Derby last?

okay - more 'gaps' than I realised. Be interesting to see what they do. It wasn't too long in the dim and distant past that there used to be 5 Marylebone departures from Banbury between 07.00 and 08.00 in the morning, 2 or 3 starting from Banbury. Probably wrong thread, but be good to know...

I know there are a few gaps, but I thought the half hourly Marylebone to Birmingham was generally in place? I would have thought 5 coach trains would probably be sufficient through most of the day. My concern is in the peak. For example, the 07.05 from Banbury to Marylebone is normally 8...

It sounds like it to me. Did they ask whether they could keep your information, and what your contact preferences were?

Just saw this set going through Oxford.
