Does anyone know what this is?

2Q63 is the code used by one of Network Rails Video Inspection Units (which are 153s converted from passenger use). I think 2Q63 is 153385, I can't find any occasions online people have said it was something else.

If BR had been built to Continental gauge?

I can see the argument in my head "why do we need HS2 for extra capacity when we're still running single deck trains out of Euston?"

    Trivia: Non-accessible interchange stations

Currently, Hindley (for changes from the Atherton line to Westhoughton and Bolton) has only a bridge, you can't access either platform without stairs. But they are building a new bridge which will have lifts.

Stopgap options to cover for delays to introduction of Class 810 for EMR?

The 350/2s are no longer on the market, Northern are having them. And EMR already have some Desiros, in fact they're using well under the amount they have because they don't have a proper depot! Adding more EMUs would just make the problem worse. By the time you could introduce a new fleet the...

If BR had been built to Continental gauge?

I think (assuming everything else continues on the same timeline) the only major difference would be some double decker trains in suburban London.

    Holborn & St Pancras By-Election

No, he uploaded a video shortly after the by-election was announced saying he doesn't intend to stand, and is expecting his next by-election to be Clacton (but again).

    Using Interrail in GB

I've had some time to think (and check alternative ways of travelling on Lumo East Coast). Would it be valid to do Manchester - London - Belgium - London - Manchester And then again a couple weeks later, or does leaving the UK mean you can't come back without using the second day?

    Using Interrail in GB

Ok that narrows my options a bit but still allows for a long routing to London St Pancras, any airport, or most ferry ports. Surprised that there's so much confusion online about that term when it seems to be written quite clearly there.

    Using Interrail in GB

I don't see anything in ABB125's message that says it has to be on the way to a port. bspahh's says it is "meant to be", not must be. Sources I find online seem to be conflicting about if this advice or a rule. I'm sure my travels will take me to London which is somewhere for International...

    Using Interrail in GB

For the shorter passes I see the 4 days in 1 month also has the 15% off. Would I be correct in saying I could buy the 4 days in 1 month (€180), and use 2 of the days in Britain as "home days" and just not use the other 2 (which would have to be used in other countries) in order to get a 1 day...

BeeNetwork senior bus pass +train, validity?

I thought that only applied if the ticket was from the border station (in this case, Blackrod) rather than just any station I don't have the conditions in front of me but I think it's 14.3 that states the validity has to end and start at the same station?

BeeNetwork senior bus pass +train, validity?

It's because it is an area based ticket, which do not have to stop at the split station like it would if it was a normal split of e.g. 2 off-peak returns. The Greenfield split would work, but it would prevent you from going via Todmorden if disruption makes that useful.

LNER ‘false’ arrival times to avoid Delay Repay?

I am not sure of the precise rules around "padding the schedule" as you put it, I think there are some rules when it comes to planning that mean they will always be a little slower than can be achieved in reality, I would assume "performance allowance" would be the most likely to be abused but...

LNER ‘false’ arrival times to avoid Delay Repay?

TfW do this at several termini, including Manchester Piccadilly, where xx:11 arrivals are advertised at xx:13 (meaning with a 10 minute minimum connection time, the connection to the xx:21 TPE for Scotland is invalid). Obviously there aren't too many routes that would do this connection, but...

Greggs at Leeds station - premium prices

It's the convenience I've had Greggs in Leeds a couple times, depending on how long my connection is decides which I'll use (obviously wanting to use the cheaper on if I have the time) It's also notable that station outlets are usually open later, while most street Greggs close in the early...
