Earl of Shrewsbury suspended from Parliament for abusing expenses by misusing All Line Rover for personal travel

That's surely the case for everyone? Delay repay goes to the passenger in all circumstances.

Train tickets sold as scratchcard or stamp it yourself or use when you wish formats.

I don't remember where I heard this but it might be that if you're delayed over an hour you get another one?

Comedic "things you would ban": minor things that irritate you

    Disagree, it's the best font.

Train tickets sold as scratchcard or stamp it yourself or use when you wish formats.

Are they the ones you get from delay repay? I've only ever taken the money because I thought you just got a single to wherever the claim was between, but if it's a free form ticket that rather changes the economics.

London Cannon Street barriers at fault

Yes they are definitely wrong, restrictions such as off-peak restrictions do not mean it's invalid to get a train under the minimum connection time, even if the train would not have been able to be made without that connection. The ticket is valid for any trains departing a station on a valid...

Train tickets sold as scratchcard or stamp it yourself or use when you wish formats.

I believe it's been said before that the scratch off ones could be used as a mini-buy on board, only scratching it off when a ticket check is making its way up the carriage. I can see why they're not around anymore.

Why don't ticket machines take the 3 letter CRS codes?

Done individually for each of Northern's over 500 stations? The computer could easy just run on a long timescale. I'm not sure how the already existing quick buy destinations are chosen on Northern's machines I don't know if Northern's accept CRS codes, the only non-rover I bought from them...

CrossCountry charging tickets for luggage on seats

This exists on the 150s. There is no legroom. At least on facing pairs you can arrange space with the person across from you. On the airline seats you have to sit sideways

CrossCountry charging tickets for luggage on seats

Looking at RTT, those are operated with Class 334s, but those are 2+2.

Why don't rail signals use a standard layout for easier recognition?

I think it comes round to, as does everything, cost.

12 minute connection time at York .. what if there's a delay

LNER, since their delay made you miss your connection. Looking at RTT, both services are due to use platform 5, although of course there's the chance for platform alterations in delays.

12 minute connection time at York .. what if there's a delay

With advanced tickets you will need to wait for the next CrossCountry service, although there wouldn't be any harm in asking the guard if you can get the TPE.

CrossCountry charging tickets for luggage on seats

The train I usually get for my commute has just enough space for everyone to have an area (pair of seats or table) to ourselves, guess where literally everyone's bag goes? The seat next to us. When it's short formed most of us get the deal and put our bags on our laps.
