Cheers for information guys. Think they have enough to cover it. :D
I'm still working on the timetable it works at 1st glance but just need to go over it another couple of times :D
Hi, does anybody know hoe many units Northern have based at Heaton for use around the North East. Developed new timetable for them but need to know if they have the 17 units I need to make it work.
Cheers!
Think there is space on the York bound platform where it looks like the original ticket office was. Its got a painting on the wall last time I was there of a ticket office.
Just going back to the point about Knaresborough, surely it's a great opportunity for a 3rd party to come in and open a ticket office. Surely more than enough passengers to make it viable.
On our journey planner the through serivce has disapeared to. On TRUST it appears as two seperate services now.
1A90 Beverley to Hull
then
1A91 Hull to Kings Cross
Hopefully its still going to run for the people of Beverley
Looking through December timings for various places this morning and noticed Hull Trains will be running a service to & from Beverley from the new timetable in December.
The 1st Southbound service will depart Beverley at 0602. (KGX 0914)
The 1850 from Kings cross will run to Beverley arriving...
My only worries about the new restrictions is telling thousands of cricket fans at Headingley there ticket is invalid when the match finishes early and they all try to get back into Leeds between the restricted times.
I was meaning in terms of why they didnt plan for it in the 1st place. We all have details of when York races is on and not once as extra carridges been found for Middlesbrough services. But if there needed between York & Manchester, by magic they find some. :(
Yeah your righ though I should...
I love the statement that comes out about "unsually large passenger flow". Northern & TPE seem suprised when events are happening in the North East and more people are using the train than normal!
See how they cope today. Feel sorry for anybody trying to travel on the York services from...
They are planning on knocking the old brick building down and removing the shelters to make way for the new waiting room. Its going to be half indoor and heated, most likely only open when the ticket office is open. The 2nd half of the shelter will be covered but still exposed to the elements...
No worries ainsworth74. Sorry it seemed like rant its just there has been a few bits and pieces in the local media jumping on the "east coast services to Middlesbrough" bandwagon lately. With people moaning that Teesside has no direct train to London, no mention of the services Grand Central...
A hell of a lot of passengers use Grand Central. So what if its 10-15 minutes slower than changing at Darlington using East Coast on some occasions. Some Grand central services run between Eaglescliffe and London in less time than a stopping service from Darlignton. Its a lot cheaper if you turn...
Buy and airport advance ticket prices start from £15 one way for and adult with no railcard, from Manchester Airport to Scarborough on the 1533, change at Manchester Piccadilly, and if your plane is delayed take your ticket to the Rail ticket office at the airport station and they will endorse...
180 would have had less seats yesterday as GC put an extra carriage on. Had few reports of double booked seats with Grand Central. Sorry to hear about your problems.

Chester-Le-Street. Crying out for hourly service.
Hartlepool as well, needs more than hourly service to Newcastle, use to be every 30mins few years ago, but the powers that be soon knocked that on the head.
We are not sure why tonnes of ballest turned up the other week either. we are still crying out for the work to start, we were told 3rd March, but has you can imagine this date has come and gone. Only thing that has occured over last week is an upgrade to the P.A system.
Paul @ Eaglescliffe...
Hi, the ticket office at Eaglescliffe now has a star machine, last ones to be changed from Fastis. So we can now retrieve tickets booked online. Just please be patient as we are getting use to it. :D

Like I posted before, the only reason it appears that South Bank has lots of passengers is because of the South Bank-Newcastle open return. It is sold in vast amounts at Eaglescliffe, Thornaby, Middlesbrough.
