Got my notes to hand now! :D
MBR-KGX:
looking to create £7.9M extra revenue
which breaks down to £1.9M from non-franchised operators, it notes virtually all of this will be from passengers transferring from Grand Central at Eaglescliffe to Middlesbrough services.
Hoping to create an extra...
Not sure if in right area, feel free to move if need to sorry.
Read a interesting if long winded document on the ORR regarding how many new passengers and how much revenue they are expecting to generate from there new North Eastern services.
The new Sunderland is expected to generate 6,000...
Will be interesting when VTEC introduce their Middlesbrough services in a few years if this helps spread them out.
Be interesting what time they plan their last northbound service through York heading for Middlesbrough. Finding the younger ones are still heading for York and 'older couples'...
Hoping someone can help! Was completing a sleeper booking this week and the customers asked for 2 berths with interlocking doors. After hours and hours of goggle searching I still cannot find a serco sleeper berth chart any where!
If anybody has a link or screenshots of all sleeper carridge...
1P22 just past ourselves at Eaglescliffe and is 2 class 185's. Rear unit locked out of use. The next service to Middlesbrough (1P26) also appears to be 2 class 185's
My apologies to Northern Rail, far from cutting services at Tesside Airport from the new May timetable they have increased it to 3 trains a week!
It does mean an end to the Darlington - Metrocentre services. The services will only run from Darlington to Hartlepool and back.
Details:
2k01...
Liked the way no one has advertised people to travel via S&C to leeds and change for kings cross. We booked a family from Carlisle to kings cross via leeds. We found great advance fares and they cant wait to travel this beautiful route tomorrow.
The timetable change in March is for the introduction of Sunday Whitby serives.
Even this has led to a few complaints as the train leaving Whitby at 1546 runs non stop from Thornaby to Darlington until May. Then it starts to call at Eaglescliffe, Allens West & Dinsdale. It has called at...
Looked again at ITT for northern and it states in the minimum calling stops for stations that a service has to be provided once a week between eag and Stockton and also one service a week from Darlington to Eaglescliffe which must call at Teesside Airport.
This is from the start of the new...
Totally agree its a pointless service. A special stop order had to be issued on Sunday because the stopping train from Darlington didn't stop and someone was waiting for the train! :).
Only spotted it this afternoon when researching the timetable changes in May.
Hope your all right and it is...
Bad news!
From timetable change in May. It looks as though Teesside Airport no longer has any trains calling there. The 2 Sunday trains are not in journey planner of TOPS.
On a serious note I thought this kind of thing had to be put past goverment has it is a parlimentary service? Also...
That is the million dollar question. We would like to see a 2 hourly service to complement other services at Eaglescliffe. There is huge support for this throughout the local area.
If TPEX did call at Eaglescliffe every 2 hours say and every other hour at Yarm they could at least put 6 car...
Due to engineering work taking place around the Teesside on Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th May. Transpennine services are terminating and starting at Eaglescliffe instead of Middlesbrough.
This means for 2 days only you can travel from Eaglescliffe to Yarm on an hourly direct service. Just don't...
We find it a regular occurrence at Eaglescliffe. Always have to see if we can book any seats on Grand Central and East Coast before telling the customer the price. Really awkward trying to explain that I cannot sell at £24.50 fare because there is no seat to go with it so its now £58.90.
Brilliant news for Middlesbrough. Devastated it won't call at Eaglescliffe! Wonder if a even bigger ticket office is now required at Thornaby for the future.
Hi, I left whitby line out as it needs no altering. It wasn't really a timetable for immediate use, maybe in few years when more DMU's become cascaded. So didn't allocate unit types.
I left out through trains from South West Scotland to Newcastle has I wonder if they will still continue in...
