I was on a train a couple of years back. a class 170 over shooted North Queensferry station. Te train didn't stop afterwards and jut proceeded to the next stop (Dalmeny). Passengers for North Queensferry just got off at Dalmeny and got a train back to North Queensferry.

Class 170s are Suburban trains: Keep them that way ! Get some loco services on Express services such as Glasgow-Aberdeen or Edinburgh-Aberdeen and Glasgow/Edinburgh-Inverness.

They should do what Northern did and hire a Class 180 Adalante. That could sort out the problems on Edinburgh-Glasgow. I think Scotrail need more Express trains like the Adalante and not have suburban designed train like the class 170. But also I think they should do what Chiltern have done and...
