There's a few differences such as the front axle which is further back on the 400XLB as approach angles are less of a concern here than, in Hong Kong say. Air conditioning is also an integrated feature of the 500, whereas the UK XLBs are as you say built on the 400 body which come standard with...
Given the stations listed, from what I can tell, Ilorin, Osogbo and Minna etc are all not served by Standard Gauge track. - So I would have to presume that these are destined for the narrow gauge system. Which given the professed plan to rehabilitate the narrow gauge system while additional...
I've personally witnessed a pair of 73s reversing the up Inverness portion (8* mk5) at Dunblane, when the Kippenross viaduct was closed due to high water levels. Certainly happens every so often.
I used to get it occasionally for a bargain 1st Class advance Fare just for the novelty. Agree its almost never well filled though.

XC 2+7 HSTs would visit on occasion in BR days, obviously that was before the platforms were extended for the 385 Express service as well. So...
I explicitly said 'more than one year.'
Even just 10 months ago we were still in the period where fare levels had been frozen.
You were, as far as I could tell, comparing the most recent headline percentage increase in Scotland with those elsewhere in the UK. I was suggesting that doing so...
I was referring to the Fare freeze from January 2022.
I don't image you would also describe various public sector wages as 'skyrocketing' as well after recent(ish) industrial action?
I suspect they'll be watching this trial to see what comes of it. I note we have heard nothing on passenger numbers since it began, but we await the eventual result.
But also Pre-GWML upgrade which (again)showed just how disruptive and expensive it is to do upgrade works in this country. I'm not sure either way has really shone in the intervening years.
The trick with Norse that makes the business model tick is the cheap long term leases they secured during covid for their 787s. As others have said, their route structure emulating legacy carries is clearly struggling to work though.
liveatc.net is usually recorded with amateur equipment not even necessarily near the airport. Aviation Headsets will be of exceptionally high quality and audio quality should not be an issue. There might well be a conversation about the competency of the English spoken in Japan however.
There would have been a flight strip generated as soon as they got their IFR clearance while they were still on stand. ATC was definitely aware of the aircraft.

The 3 car 755s only have 2 generator units, the 4 cars have 4. However the point is that to match the performance of a 755/3 you could use the 4 engine pack and have 6 carriages.
I believe the comment refers to the 'Emergency Line' - which I assumed would be 999. I've no idea how good the communication between a police call centre and NR's Control room might be however.
If the 222s were also owned by Angel trains, there might be a way of organizing an early termination in return for taking on the 222s, but as you'd have to get Eversholt involved too, I think that might be a bridge too far.
In fairness you'd hope at the end of the current lease they could buy the remaining operable sets for a peppercorn rate and allow a more serious running down of the fleet than currently where we're still paying for power cars that haven't run in 2 or 3 years and they scramble about trying to...
You'd be very hard to pressed to search out a Tipo estate nowadays! let alone one in good nick. I can't even think when I last saw one of those in any form.
