I thought they used P1 and the normal shuttle got bumped to P2?
6 car, formed of a 465 and 466. Order of the two units would frequently change. Used to use it from Dec 2017 until lockdown (albeit not from Sheerness).
This may seem like a silly question, but is the emergency brake just the normal brakes but applied harder? Or does it have some kind of extra brake (like a car handbrake) or put the wheels in reverse or something else? I presume use of the emergency brake requires some kind of reset and...
Denmark Hill, but there's no Orpington trains running it seems and the Sevenoaks one has a too long connection (This is what I usually do when travelling off-peak to work)
Thanks all, I've seen the Moorgate services pull in as I've arrived before at Finsbury Park so will jump on one of them.
Hello all,
Am needing to change to the Victoria line from a Thameslink service on Tuesday (essential journey as a key worker) - is the one-way system at Finsbury Park still in place?
If it is in place, is it still quicker than changing to the Vic at St Pancras? Am arriving on the 0807 (@...
Cross Country used to run a rail replacement bus between Ealing Broadway and Wandsworth Road - that must have been disconnected from any other CC services (ignoring that it was a bus!)

Sudbury & Harrow Road on the same line has a pretty appalling service - 8 trains a day compared to the 6tph from nearby Sudbury Town on the Piccadilly line. Presumably the two track line prevents any increase in frequency...
When going down the stairs at the north end of P2 Blackfriars yesterday evening, I noticed a big sign saying "Raise Pantograph at Farringdon, not City Thameslink" (or words to that effect). Thought it was odd at the time.
Passengers may also be reluctant to remove their masks and/or touch near their mouth/nose on the train too. Yesterday I did a journey where I normally would have taken my lunch break while travelling but decided against it due to the current situation.
I arrived at Finsbury Park about 3pm to find nothing but the ex-Moorgates heading north. Ours went as far as Watton-on-Stone before emptying out as P5 at Stevenage was occupied by a train presumably driverless
Long term you'd need to built a chord at Ebbsfleet that connects the spur towards Ebbsfleet (currently faces towards the coast). You'd also need some extra "slow" platforms and separated line as you don't want normal trains running on HS1 (for both speed and signalling reasons).
I presume old...
I wonder if TfL would indeed be keen to take over SE metro services. The Networkers are due to be replaced (potentially alongside the 376s) by whoever gets the new franchise. New trains = good PR boost for TfL even though its the expected change anyway
Yes, the 1540 was cancelled at Victoria at about 1630-ish. Ticket acceptance was in place on the Tube between Southeastern's London Terminals and on the high speed.
My ticket combo was valid for my intended journey.
In the end, Southeastern have just told me to ring them as I'm guessing...
