That's a pain then. I wonder what they'll say regarding Delay Repay - I was delayed by 2+ hours regardless of whether I took a valid route home or not
Thanks for your help
Thinking about it, why does it matter if it is valid via Hither Green? My London-DH ticket is valid via Lewisham and my DH - Rainham ticket is valid via Lewisham so I have a complete valid journey? Maybe I have misunderstood
Okay thanks. It did run fast.
Is any of this affected by them allowing free Tube transfer to other terminals? I.e. what's the point in doing that if the ticket still isn't valid? I guess I could just put down two cancelled delay repay journeys and hope for the best but that seems a little like...
Thanks.
There's only two sensible routes between London Bridge and Denmark Hill - changing at Lewisham on Southeastern or via Queen's Road Peckham on a Southern and changing at Peckham Rye.
The "yellow pages" give PK, VL and VR, which appear to be to be via Peckham Rye, via Lewisham and direct...
Hello all,
Yesterday I was intending to travel from Victoria to Rainham (Kent) using the combination below:
1) Anytime Single from London Terminals to Denmark Hill
2) Monthly season from Denmark Hill to Rainham (avoiding London Terminals)
I was sitting on the 1540 when it got cancelled and...
What would make it even better was if you could enter your ticket and it would take that into consideration. Living in Kent, Google always suggests the high speed even though I have a non-HS1 ticket.
The Tube & Rail map also no longer has the Greenford branch being a separate branch terminating at West Ealing. Instead, there's a tick on the curve that's very difficult to see.
Except, as shown below, it does mean something. It's more of a curiosity thing ("I wonder what that means, perhaps someone knows") rather than a "I must know exactly what this means". 11 pages suggest other people are also curious.
Thank you, that's interesting to know.
Hello all.
I'm trying to create some large paper British Rail totems for a party but am struggling to get them looking quite right.
Does anyone know of the dimensions of the signs (corner radii, etc) or could point me where I might find them?
Thanks
Is this not just a case of considering all options? If you're doing a proper review, it makes sense to consider all options, even if they can be immediately discarded.
I do this route and I would say we get checked twice a week (I only travel 4 days). It's been more in recent months though and it will be the second check of the trip (train from Sheerness in my case). Sometimes they do another check after Longfield, but then it is a 6-car 466+465 so less to...
Would the HS1-HS2 link be useful for freight, or will there be a HS2-North London Line link to indirectly connect to HS1? I think a fair number of freight trains use HS1 before switching to the classic network.
