I'd like to buy a York-Kings Cross Off Peak Grand Central Only ticket in the near future. There's a chance that I will need to use a peak time train in one direction though. Are grand central ok with excess fares like this? ie: excessing from an Off Peak to an Anytime return by paying...

I'm planning to travel tomorrow from St Pancras to Brighton. Does anyone know if St Pancras and/or Brighton have ticket barriers? I'll be making a quick change from Kings Cross and ideally would like to buy the ticket on the train, is this possible with First Capital Connect?

I've looked on the trainline.com and the prices for January (presumably if you buy now) are of course still the current prices. Is there a way before January to find out the new prices?

Does anyone know much about this York to London Kings Cross ticket? It's priced £90 on thetraineline.com but when I search for it in July or August, it doesn't seem to exist. Is it only for a limited time?
